WND’s Root Still Fluffing Trump, Goes All ‘Mean Girls’ On Nikki Haley

Obsessive Trump-fluffer Wayne Allyn Root has been keeping his pro-Trump antics during the primary process. He served up more top-grade slobbering in his Jan. 19 column:

Donald J. Trump is the closest thing to Secretariat that we’ve ever seen in American politics.

Do you remember Secretariat? Secretariat is the greatest racehorse in the history of racing. A winner of the famous Triple Crown. The holder of the fastest times in all three races of the Triple Crown. Nothing could stop Secretariat. No one could beat Secretariat. Secretariat is a legend. Secretariat is the GOAT. (the greatest of all time).

Sound familiar? That’s Trump – an unstoppable, unbeatable force. Superhuman. A living legend. The GOAT.

Here’s a man who was impeached twice, faced four years of hatred, was called “Hitler” and “Nazi” and “KKK,” was demonized 24/7 by the media and still got the most votes in the history of the presidency, the most votes of any Republican ever and the most new votes in his second presidential race of any president in history.

Now almost four years later – after four indictments, facing over 700 years in prison and branded as a dictator who will destroy democracy, shred the U.S. Constitution and assassinate his rivals – Trump just won a shocking landslide in Iowa by the biggest margin in history. Trump won 98 of 99 counties (losing the only remaining county by one vote). He won a landslide among virtually every voting group. He doubled his support in Iowa from his first presidential run in 2016. He steamrolled Iowa like no one in history, on one of the coldest days in history.

DeSantis gambled EVERYTHING on Iowa. His campaign was dying, running out of money, donors, supporters, volunteers – literally on its last gasp. So, DeSantis spent all his money and had all his staff and every volunteer in Iowa for months. He campaigned in all 99 counties – something no presidential candidate has ever done. The Florida governor, for all intents and purposes, became an Iowa resident.

DeSantis was endorsed by Iowa’s popular governor. He was endorsed by the most popular Christian pastor and leader in Iowa – the man whose endorsement in the past has led to victory after victory. DeSantis received over 55,000 “pledge cards” from voters pledging to vote for him.

Result? DeSantis lost all 99 counties. This is what we call “an old-fashioned butt whipping.” This was a landslide repudiation of DeSantis. He gambled and lost everything.

Haley is even worse. She finished in third place. And what did she say? Now it’s “a two-person race.” Huh? Haley is delusional and math-challenged.

It’s over. It’s not a two-person race or a three-person race. It’s officially a one-person race: Trump! This race has been over since last March when Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump over false, ridiculous, ludicrous charges. On that day, I predicted the race was over. I said, “Democrats and Alvin Bragg just guaranteed Trump the GOP nomination, made him the 47th President of the United States and a martyr. Thank you!”

My advice to delusional DeSantis and Haley:

Drop out ASAP. There is no path to victory for either of you. Trump will win New Hampshire next. Then comes my home state of Nevada. Trust me on this one – a record-setting Nevada landslide is coming. Trump will win the Nevada Caucus by the biggest margin in the country. Haley isn’t even on the ballot in the Nevada Caucus. Trump will beat DeSantis one-on-one by 50 points.

Then Trump will destroy Haley in her home state of South Carolina by 30 points. Trump is beating DeSantis in his home state of Florida by 40 points. Trump will win all 50 states. It’s over. Drop out now and retain your dignity. And quickly endorse Trump. Or you both have no political future left in the GOP.

Just admit it … Trump is Secretariat. And DeSantis and Haley are headed for the glue factory.

In his Feb. 2 column, Root offered “11 things desperate Dems are willing to do to beat Trump.” Among them was one of his favorite conspiracy theories:

Biden will drop out of the race for health reasons, and Democrats will choose Michelle Obama as their 2024 presidential nominee. I’m no Johnny-come-lately to this prediction. I made it in print a year ago – on Jan. 22, 2023.

The only issue here is, does Michelle want it? If not, they’ll either replace Biden with California Gov. Gavin Newsom or stick with Biden but double down on the other 10 planks in this column to rig the election against Trump.

He also threw in the usual fearmongering:

9. The COVID pandemic was just a trial run. Another pandemic could strike America in the run-up to the election – but this one will be far deadlier. This will result in panic, hysteria and a 100% mail-in ballot election (the perfect recipe for voter fraud).

10. Black Lives Matter was just a trial run. Expect mass anarchy in the run-up to the election, but much larger than the BLM demonstrations in the summer of 2020 – this time involving not just disgruntled black rioters and looters but millions of illegal aliens combined with pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas, anti-Israel protesters.

Root didn’t discuss whether the Capitol riot was just a trial run for his side and that there will be pro-Trump “mass anarchy” later this year.

Root raged at Haley further in his Feb. 25 column, claiming without evidence that she was bribed to stay in the race and bizarrely likening her to a mass murderer:

What a loser Nikki Haley has become. And it didn’t have to be this way. I wonder how much money the three D’s bribed her with – Democrats, the D.C. swamp and the deep state.

Was it cash in offshore accounts? Was it offers to join major boards of directors at Fortune 500 firms after the primary? Was it a book deal with a $10 million advance? Was it a guarantee of $100,000 corporate speeches lined up for the next four years? Did they offer Haley a seat on “The View”? Maybe even her own daytime talk show?

This much I know: Someone gave her one hell of a multimillion-dollar offer that leaves her set for life. Why else would she be so willing to endure such humiliation and futility? Why else would such a smart and talented woman agree to commit career suicide?

Because there’s no ifs, ands or buts – Haley’s career is finished. As in kaput. As in shambles. As in Charles Manson would have the same odds of winning a GOP race ever again. They both have zero chance.

Root refused to reveal the source of the “multimillion-dollar offer” he claims he “knows” ‘Haley got. He then went all “Mean Girls” on Haley, likening her to Liz Cheney:

Delusional fools like Cheney falsely believe there is a voting bloc that likes her and appreciates her standing up to Trump. Wrong. There is no one who likes her. Liz Cheney has a fan club of one – her father, Dick (aptly named).

Why don’t RINO Republican traitors like Liz Cheney, Paul Ryan, Jeff Flake, Mitt Romney and a cast of hundreds of others understand that once you backstab Trump and the MAGA movement, you have no audience, no fan club, no voting bloc? You’ve humiliated yourself. You are alone in the world.

Great job, Nikki. I hope whatever gold they gave you, or promised you, is enough to live for the rest of your life. And to live with yourself. Because your political career is now over. Dead and buried. You committed career suicide. And it never had to come to this.

You’ve become the new Liz Cheney. And that’s a tragedy.

Root didn’t explain why it was a bad thing for Cheney to hold Trump accountable for his behavior — or why having actual principles is worse than being a sycophantic suck-up like him.
