The most iconic image from Saturday’s failed assassination attempt in Pennsylvania is that of our bloodied former president standing tall, his raised fist pumping in defiance of the act that came so close to killing him, the fierce warrior mouthing to the stunned crowd a single word, “Fight!” That word, while unamplified with no microphone near, Trump supporters heard loud and clear, his message reverberating throughout the nation and, indeed, the world.
As historic as that photo will certainly be, it was an entirely different photograph that spoke most powerfully to me, a scene captured only seconds earlier, before Trump was lifted back to his feet, an agent’s legs widened just enough to triangularly frame President Trump’s profile and his open right hand, thumb up, as in supplication.
[…]This photo’s eerie stillness, contrary to the chaotic scramble we witnessed on our screens, made me think of the prophet Elijah in the Hebrew Bible, when an unexpected moment of stillness broke through the crashing sounds of wind, quake and fire.
Once the sights and sounds were muted, Elijah, wrapping a mantle around his face, stepped to the opening of a cave and heard a “still, small voice,” asking, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
In this photo, I see our wounded former president in searching soul-silence, a mantle of agents encircling him, hearing the same question, “What are you doing here, Donald?”
Like Trump, Elijah was on a mission to call the people back to the core values of his nation. Elijah’s name is Hebrew for “My God is Yahweh,” his very name defining his mission, the people of Israel under the influence of the corrupt leadership of Ahab, having been drawn away by his queen, Jezebel, to worship and serve her Canaanite gods, chiefly Baal.
Like Trump, Elijah’s greatest victory preceded an unexpectedly stunning and questionable defeat, leading Bible readers to wonder, “What just happened?” Elijah’s victory on Mount Carmel was followed by unexplainable defeat and the relentless pursuit of political persecution by Jezebel and her enfeebled, compliant husband, Ahab.
Likewise, the victorious Trump of 2016 was followed by a questionable defeat in 2020, with Trump ever since on the run from a two-tiered, weaponized Department of Justice.
[…]“What are you doing here, Donald?”
That’s the question President Trump must answer, first in his own heart, and then to the American people. His speech at the RNC Thursday night will, essentially, be his answer to that question.
“What am I doing here? Why am I not retired and playing golf, instead of risking my fortune and my freedom as a corrupt justice system bears down on me? Risking my own life at the hands of would-be assassin, likely inspired by years of the Democrats and media telling you that I am Hitler? Why? Well, let me tell you what I am doing here.”
I can hear the thunderous applause already, and see tears of gratitude and joy among the delegates as they see their bandaged warrior and hear our former and, hopefully, future President Donald J. Trump answer that question.
I suspect that, after death brushed so close Saturday, his answer might be substantially different than it would have been last week.
We shall see. This much is certain. His answer will be worth hearing, and hanging on every word.

The assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump, unfolding in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024, may have been the closest we have come to World War III. Trump escaped death by a remarkable providence of God. Had Trump been killed, the man who fights against the globalist quest for world dominion like no other in America, the neocon warmonger elite would have had a full-fledged victory. Horrifying wars would definitely have been ahead of us.
With the American flag perfectly set in the back, the AP photograph of the former president clenching his fist in the air, blood on his face as Secret Service agents swarmed around him, is becoming a symbol similar to the French Revolution iconic painting of “Liberty Leading the People” by Eugène Delacroix. In it, the bare breasted woman clenching her fist represents the people’s voice against the tyranny of the elites, lifting the French flag with a young boy and soldiers by her side.
The demonized and heavily persecuted Trump has for years been the only man able to symbolize the “little man’s fight against the elites,” as he has spoken of the need to focus on domestic issues, return jobs to America, tax the mega corporations who reside in tax havens and stop the cartel monopolization of wealth. No wonder the mainstream media are instructed to demonize Trump, as over 90 % of the media is owned by the very same ultra-rich, globalist cartel corporations Trump attacks. I elaborate on this topic in my book “Trump: The Battle for America.” He knows that the United States has become the laughingstock internationally for its complete inability to win wars overseas regardless of the trillions of dollars spent, wars in which hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost and millions displaced as refugees. Domestically, the U.S. has been equally unable to deal with the rampant drug problems, inflation, corruption, skyrocketing food prices, open borders problems, over-crowded jails, street poverty and homelessness, horrible roads, gruesome inner-city standards and so on.
[…]The assassination attempt has turned Donald Trump into a larger-than-life icon, a prophet hailed as a messiah figure at levels never seen before. The hope is to return American greatness to the deteriorating and sad image of a faltering United States, to end the gruesome wars overseas and provide fair trade, growth and justice to the increasingly multi-polar world.
If there ever were a time to pray for America, it surely is now.

Call it the Immaculate Protection.
The would-be assassin’s bullet came within a sliver of an inch to killing former President Donald Trump. The shooter, for reasons still under investigation, managed to climb on the rooftop of a nearby building for a clear, unobstructed view as Trump stood on stage. Experts compared the odds of the shooter hitting the target to that of a golfer nailing a chip shot.
But, miraculously, the bullet grazed Trump’s ear. A rally-goer on stage behind Trump was fatally wounded, and two others suffered serious injury. But Trump, the intended target, not only survived but stood up and shook his fist to assure all that he was OK.
What more can this man endure? He’s been accused of being a Russian asset. He’s been accused of being so mentally unstable that when first elected, some Democrat members of Congress tried to invoke the 25th Amendment. He was impeached twice, his home raided, found civilly liable, arrested, charged and criminally convicted. And now he has survived a would-be assassin’s bullet.
Critics blame Trump’s “overheated rhetoric” for the Jan. 6 “insurrection,” ignoring that he implored protesters to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard. But President Joe Biden, who calls Trump “dangerous,” and first lady Dr. Jill Biden, who once called Trump “evil,” bear no responsibility?
[…]In 1775, there was the shot heard ’round the world. In 2024, there was the shot that got Donald John Trump reelected.

What is undeniable is the incredible uprising of new supporters that broke out in the wake of the assassination attempt. Every time the left tries to knock Trump down – every single time – he comes back stronger than ever, gains greater popularity and surges ahead in the polls. Even CNN admits Trump is on course for a landslide win and could get as many as 330 electoral votes (270 are needed to win). You’d think the left would have figured this out by now, but I guess not. In fact, getting shot is benefiting Trump so much that panicked leftists are trying to convince people it was exaggerated or faked.
Here’s what one (black) man had to say the day after the assassination attempt about the left’s attempts to take Trump down: “Your pandemic didn’t work. Your impeachments didn’t work. Your January 6 didn’t work. Your social media censorship. Your bull**** indictments. Your unconstitutional attempts to remove him from the ballot … nope. Didn’t work. Your baseless lawsuits. Your 34 counts. Comparing him to Hitler. Your attempts to bankrupt him DID NOT WORK. Your attempts to remove his Secret Service detail. Your Project 2025 and your Epstein Files [didn’t work]. And your bullets … didn’t work.

But I believe the truth will win out on this one, and that the remedy and a happier result have already been foreseen by President Trump. Had he died America would have seen a baptism of blood. But his miraculous survival gives America a baptism in faith. And he surely knows this.
He has been touched by the very breath of God. Certainly, no person of faith, and, probably, no one else, could help but see something immense and profound had changed in his countenance, as we have witnessed at each appearance he made at the Republican Convention. By whatever measure we might fairly say so, we are left with a vision of a man Christ has claimed as His own.
We suspect that he no longer will suffer talk of revenge. He will let the guilty pay, on earth, through the courts, or in eternity, however it may happen. It will not be his focus. He has said the best revenge is success. Though he learns the name of every conspirator, his leadership, regardless, will be a call for unity. This will be his emphasis.
The Republican Convention has been a love fest. The Democratic Convention promises to be the amplified snarl of a dying beast.
