Last year, hate-filled Media Research Center writer Nicholas Fondacaro cranked out five year-end posts about all the hate-watching he did of “The View.” Well, he managed to top himself — this time around, he cranked out a whopping eight year-end posts. we’ve already documented his obsessive, defamatory (and arguably legally actionable) name-calling of co-host Sunny Hostin. He followed that with a Dec. 25 post:
In an election year that saw an unprecedented and horrific pair of assassination attempts on a major party candidate for president, it’s important to note who in the liberal media were stoking the flames of hate with incendiary rhetoric. ABC’s The View has been no stranger to such rhetoric, as NewsBusters noted in our 2023 roundup, which included a call for murdering pro-lifers.
In 2024, we got a defense of killing President-elect Trump in effigy (pre-assassination attempts), refusals to rein in incendiary rhetoric after the assassination attempts, and open contempt for those who dare to humanize Trump.
Presented here, in chronological order, are eight times The View toyed with incendiary rhetoric:
In a Dec. 26 post, Fondacaro complained that ” the liberal ladies of ABC’s The View had made several proclamations and predictions about the state of the race that didn’t age as well as they hoped,” adding:
From high-pitched declarations that “the candidate is Joe” to claims that Democrats would cure America of their Trump amnesia to conspiracy theories of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. trying to “buy” the election, their attempts to manifest a Democratic victory fell flat. But in other instances, their worst fears came to be realized.
The next day, Fondacaro groused under the headline “They Hate You”:
The results of the 2024 presidential election had the liberal ladies of ABC’s The Viewraging against average Americans who weren’t receiving millions of dollars from a TV news outlet. But even before a majority of American voters chose to send President-elect Trump back to the White House, The View showed great contempt for Americans who told pollsters they intended to send Democrats packing.
Repeatedly, throughout the year, the wealthy co-hosts would lash out at voters who cared about high prices and making ends meet; telling them they needed to vote for President Biden and eventually Vice President Harris. Voters braving the elements and even Gold Star families would be targets of their ire.
As if Fondacaro doesn’t hate every American who’s even slightly less conservative than he is. He went on to whine in a Dec. 28 post:
Struggling to win over voters on the issues, the liberal ladies of ABC’s The View often resorted to just trying to scare Americans into voting for Democrats. Ironically enough, it was the very thing they were accusing President-elect Trump and Republicans of doing for their 2024 presidential election strategy.
The hypocrisy and fear mongering was abound in 2024 as they made wild accusations of Republicans wanting to bring back slavery, everyone will lose their rights, and had a “very dark vision” for America filled with icky traditional values. They also claimed Trump had a hit list with them on it, that he was going to order the Air Force to bomb their studio, and that he would redistribute white spouses from interracial marriages.
Wait, didn’t he and his MRC co-workers spend 2024 trying to scare people into voting for Republicans?
Fondacaro used a Dec. 29 post to another hypocritical complaint:
As was obvious in our roundup of the 9 Times The View Attacked American Voters in 2024, the ABC News program had a vested interest in trying to get the Democratic candidates across the finish line, whether it was for President Biden or Vice President Harris. But they did more than just attack the voters, on several occasions they nearly pulled muscles while trying to prop up the ticket.
In order to help prop up the Democratic Party ticket, the cast had to beclown themselves with increasingly bafoon-ish claims and antics. They claimed it was “brave” to be afraid of Trump, claimed Trump was afraid of “funny women” like Harris, and repeatedly called on the rest of the liberal media to do like they were to drag the ticket over the finish line.
Meanwhile, the MRC beclowned itself by privileging the lies of the Republican ticket in an attempt to drag Trump and J.D. Vance across the finish line.
Fondacaro served up even more whining in a Dec. 30 post on “morally repugnant” comments:
Though it may be hard for many people to believe, The View is the most watched day-time talk show in America. Which is why it’s important for NewsBusters to be there to all call them out for the morally repugnant and depraved things ABC and Disney allow them to get away with on seemingly a daily basis.
This year alone they’ve said white kids should be made to feel like oppressors in history class, claimed former Ambassador Nikki Haley doesn’t actually miss her husband when he’s deployed oversees, called Catholicism a “cult-like” religion, and called the Constitution “un-American.”
Meanwhile, Fondacaro apparently saw nothing “morally repugnant” about co-worker Justine Brooke Murray’s arguably racist remarks gushing over a Miss Universe pageant winner who was blonde and blue-eyed.
Fondacaro concluded his parade of hate with a Dec. 31 post:
As NewsBusters has shown over the last week, the Cackling Coven of ABC’s The View has said a lot of things throughout 2024, most of them pretty negative and heinous; racist things, incendiary things, made bad predictions about the election, attacked voters, tried to stir up fear, tried to prop up the Democratic ticket, and morally repugnant things. That’s why we’re wrapping up our 2024 retrospective with a look at some of the laughably dumbest things they’ve said.
From talk about Nikki Haley’s vagina to dogs biting butts, to them “leaking” with excitement, to claiming the solar eclipse was caused by climate change, this is a collection of some of the most mind numbing, jaw dropping, head scratching, and room-temperature I.Q. things they’ve said over the course of 2024.
Proceed with caution as, presented in chronological order, are some pretty braindead comments.
One can argue that Fondacaro’s continued obsessive defamation of Hostin as “staunchly racist” in the face of lawsuit threats is pretty brain-dead of him. Then again, nobody has accused him of being the sharpest tool in the box — just the most hateful.
