WND Fixated On Idea That Kirk’s Killer Associated With Folks Who Weren’t Heterosexual

Posted on October 17, 2025

Having dutifully lionized Charlie Kirk after his death, WorldNetDaily turned its attention to his alleged killer:

  • ‘It was me’: Tyler Robinson reportedly made stunning assassination admission to social media followers
  • ‘Grandpa’s rifle’: Chat between assassination suspect, trans roomie released
  • CONFIRMED! Death penalty to be sought in assassination of Charlie Kirk
  • President Trump: Biden ‘weaponized’ DOJ for kill shot against Turning Point USA long before Charlie Kirk assassination

WND then fixated on the fact that Robinson apparently associated with people who weren’t heterosexual. A Sept. 17 article by Joe Kovacs raged at the idea that Robinson might have been a human being with feelings:

An ABC News reporter on Wednesday expressed “deep regret” for the way he portrayed “very touching” and “intimate” text messages between Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson and his transgender lover Lance Twiggs, but the journalist is still being shredded by media colleagues and Americans at large.

On Tuesday, ABC’s Matt Gutman reported he was not sure “if we have seen an alleged murder with such specific text messages” that were “very touching, in a way, that I think many of us didn’t expect – a very intimate portrait into this relationship between the suspect’s roommate and the suspect himself, with him repeatedly calling his roommate, who is transitioning, calling him ‘my love.’ And ‘I want to protect you, my love.'”

[…]

Wednesday morning, Gutman expressed regret on X, stating: “Yesterday I tried to underscore the jarring contrast between this cold blooded assassination of Charlie Kirk – a man who dedicated his life to public dialogue – and the personal, disturbing texts read aloud by the Utah County Attorney at the press conference.

“I deeply regret that my words did not make that clear. But let there be zero doubt here: I unequivocally condemn this horrific crime and the pain it caused Charlie Kirk’s family, those who were forced to witness it at UVU, and the millions of people he inspired.”

Kovacs fearmongered the same day:

The FBI is now investigating the pro-gun Armed Queers SLC, a Salt Lake City group whose transgender leader openly supports violence, for possible connections to alleged Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson.

Ermiya Fanaeian, who worked on Democrat U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign, was asked by a reporter: “Some people say that it takes a violent protest to get people to listen. Do you agree or should they remain peaceful?”

“I agree. I absolutely agree,” responded Fanaeian, a student at the University of Utah.

Kovacs found a random transgender person to attack in a Sept. 22 article:

A transgender activist has issued a graphic call to assassinate other Americans who think like Charlie Kirk, the Christian conservative champion who was gunned down Sept. 10.

Video of the activist, whom social media users identify as Kimberly McNeely, a purported tarot-card reader from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, reveals a disturbing call for blood recorded a day after Kirk was struck by a bullet while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

“F*** Charlie Kirk,” the individual begins. “I don’t want to see people hurt. Nobody deserves that. Some people do deserve that. People whose lives are causing death and harm to others, they f***ing deserve it.

“I hope he’s the first of many because it’s not like our kindness, our empathy is keeping our people from getting killed. It’s not.”

Kovacs then touted that “Others have been sharing Turning Point USA clips demonstrating Kirk’s kindness and empathy toward transgender individuals.” In reality, Kirk spouted anti-gay and anti-transgender rhetoric, having once cited a Bible verse saying that a woman who puts on men’s clothes or a man who puts on a woman’s garment is an “abomination.”
