Dick Morris Still Hyping Sliwa For NYC Mayor, Melting Down Over Mamdani

Posted on November 3, 2025

Dick Morris had been rather desperately hyping Republican Curtis Sliwa in the New York City mayor’s race while also following in his employer’s footsteps in trashing lead candidate Zohran Mamdani. Morris put both of those together in his Oct. 22 column:

For more than 40 years, I’ve worked as a political strategist for presidents, governors, senators, and mayors.

I’ve helped shape campaigns at the highest levels — from Bill Clinton to Donald Trump — and if there’s one thing experience teaches, it’s how to recognize when the political winds are shifting.

Right now, those winds are blowing toward Curtis Sliwa.

In the three-way race for mayor of New York City between Sliwa, Andrew Cuomo, and Zohran Mamdani, the field is fragmented.

But within that division lies Sliwa’s path to victory.

In a city hungry for safety, accountability, and common sense, Curtis Sliwa is the only candidate who can unify the middle and win.

[…]

Mamdani, the far-left assemblyman from Queens, wants to close Rikers Island — yes, the city’s main jail — and effectively release thousands of criminals onto our streets.

He supports eliminating bail, gutting the very system that keeps repeat offenders off the subway platforms and away from innocent families.

His policies are anti-police, anti-jail, and anti-safety. If you like chaos, he’s your man.

Cuomo, meanwhile, paved the way for radicals like Mamdani.

[…]

Sliwa is the only one who will stand with law enforcement, stand up for victims, and bring back common sense.

He’s not a career politician — he’s a fighter. He’s been on the subways, in the neighborhoods, and on the front lines when crime was at its worst.

He knows what it takes to turn this city around.

If New Yorkers stick together — Republicans, independents, and even moderate Democrats — Sliwa can do what no one thinks possible: win this election and restore sanity to our city.

Rudy Giuliani knows it. I know it. And soon, all of New York will too.

There were, of course, the requisite Newsmax TV hits to push his agenda:

  • Dick Morris to Newsmax: Mamdani Is Ending Capacity to Punish Criminals
  • Morris to Newsmax: Mamdani Could Lead N.Y. Into Budgetary Crisis
  • Dick Morris to Newsmax: Sliwa Has Momentum in NYC Mayoral Race
  • Dick Morris to Newsmax: Sliwa Gains Momentum While Cuomo Falters
  • Dick Morris to Newsmax: NYC Mayoral Race ‘Much Closer Than Anyone Thinks’

Morris had another Mamdani meltdown in an Oct. 27 column that personally attacked anyone who would vote for him:

Nihilism is the true, underlying force driving Mamdani’s voters.

In philosophy, nihilism is the belief that life has no inherent meaning, value, or purpose.

It rejects objective truth, morality, and knowledge — and ultimately leads to despair.

No political movement better embodies this idea than the Mamdani vote.

For these voters, truth, morality, and even knowledge are meaningless. What remains is despair — the logical outcome of believing in nothing at all.

This is not just a philosophy; it’s a political posture born from rejecting truth itself.

That’s why appealing to these voters is nearly impossible.

They don’t just believe in nothing — they believe in the virtue of believing in nothing.

Morris served served up one more anti-Mamdani tirade in a Nov. 1 TV appearance:

The upcoming mayoral election in New York City represents a defining moment for Democrats and a warning for the party’s future direction, should democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani win, political strategist and presidential adviser Dick Morris told Newsmax on Saturday.

“We have to understand that if Mamdani wins, he’s going to become the poster child for the Democratic Party,” Morris told Newsmax’s “The Count” on Saturday. “When people think of the Democratic Party, they’re going to think of Mamdani and AOC (New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez).”

A Mamdani win, he added, would serve as a national symbol of the Democratic Party’s growing radicalism.

He also insisted that GOP candidate Curtis Sliwa “obviously is the one who should be elected,” and warned that the policies embraced by Mamdani were pioneered by former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the independent candidate in the mayoral race, contributing to the city’s decline.

It was noted that Morris then plugged his new insta-book on Charlie Kirk, but it wasn’t disclosed that it’s published by Humanix, Newsmax’s book division.
