Newsmax Lets Trump Spout Unchallenged (And Bash Fox News Too)

Posted on November 4, 2025

Newsmax served up the usual plethora of stenographic news articles from a single Oct. 6 interview with President Trump by host Greg Kelly:

  • Trump to Newsmax: Democrats Out of Control on Shutdown
  • Trump to Newsmax: Something Crazy Happened With Mark Sanchez
  • Trump to Newsmax: Close to Peace Deal in Middle East
  • Trump to Newsmax: ‘Sleazebag Jack Smith’ Is ‘Paying the Price’
  • Trump to Newsmax: Bad Bunny at Super Bowl ‘Ridiculous’

Trump also got an unchallenged platform to spout his military invasion of cities:

  • Trump to Newsmax: ‘We’re Going to Save Chicago’
  • Trump to Newsmax: Portland Unrest Is ‘Pure Insurrection’

Kelly made no effort to fact-check any of Trump’s claims — a mistake given that Trump’s dire claims about Portland in particular have been discredited.

And, of course, Kelly let Trump take a shot at Newsmax’s competition:

President Donald Trump complained to Newsmax on Monday that Fox News never shows his positive poll numbers.

On “Greg Kelly Reports,” he praised aspects of the network but said “there’s an undertow there.”

“There’s like an undercurrent that goes there,” Trump said. “I have the best polls I’ve ever had. But Fox never gives you my numbers. We have the best numbers I’ve ever had, but it’s always lower with Fox than it is with others.

Meanwhile, on a different show that night, Newsmax let a different Trump whine about Fox News:

Donald Trump Jr. told Newsmax on Monday that Fox News has become so ridiculous that he no longer watches it.

On “The Chris Salcedo Show,” he also said he was once banned from the network for more than two years.

President Donald Trump’s eldest son accused Fox News of going to extreme lengths to look unbiased, only to end up punishing conservatives in the process.

“Honestly, I don’t watch it anymore because it is so ridiculous,” he said.

“They try so hard to be unbiased that they’re actually biased against conservatives at this point.”

“But this shouldn’t be surprising,” he said.

Trump Jr. cited only one example to back up this claim:

He singled out White House correspondent Peter Doocy for giving Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., a platform to push his healthcare agenda.

“Why is Fox News and Peter Doocy putting on Democrat Senator Mark Kelly to talk about, totally unabated or challenged, Healthcare?” Trump wrote.

Trump’s dad whined about this interview as well — but the record shows that Doocy did ask challenging questions of Kelly.
