In addition to spreading lies about her purported role in the Capitol riot, WorldNetDaily continued to spread hate about Nancy Pelosi in other ways as well. Joe Kovacs wrote n a July 30 article:
President Donald Trump on Wednesday said California Democrat Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi “should be investigated” for insider trading of stocks.
His remarks came as he was asked a question about legislation introduced by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., that bans members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks, with it extending to the president and vice president. It’s dubbed the PELOSI Act, an acronym for Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments.
“I like it conceptually,” Trump began noting he would have to look into it more.
Kovacs gushed over a smear of her by Trump in an Aug. 10 article:
President Donald Trump is launching a fresh attack on U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, calling the California Democrat a “disgusting degenerate” as he again called attention to alleged insider stock trading by the congresswoman and her husband.
“Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very ‘interesting’ husband, beat every Hedge Fund in 2024,” Trump said Saturday night on Truth Social.
In reality, more reputable sources report that “there has never been any concrete evidence that Pelosi has profited from her insider position, in spite of the fact that her husband’s wealth has skyrocketed during her time in office.” Kovacs used only one paragraph of his 14-paragraph Aug. 10 article to quickly state only that “Pelosi has called Trump’s allegations ‘ridiculous'” — and he completely censored Pelosi’s side of the story in his July 30 article.
Kovacs rehashed this lie and included another one in a Nov. 3 article:
U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., whom President Trump called a “disgusting degenerate” over alleged insider trading and who went ballistic on a reporter last month when confronted about her role in the Capitol mayhem of Jan. 6, 2021, will reportedly not seek re-election in 2026.
Scott Wong of NBC News reports: “Multiple Democratic elected officials and top aides in CA and Washington tell NBCNews they believe Nancy Pelosi will choose not to seek re-election in 2026, after nearly four decades representing her San Francisco-based district.”
[…]As WorldNetDaily reported, the former speaker of the House, now 85, was asked last month by Alison Steinberg of Lindell TV: “Congresswoman Pelosi, are you at all concerned that the January 6th Committee will find you liable for that?
“Are at all concerned about the January 6th Committee finding you liable for that day? Why did you refuse the National Guard on January 6th?”
Pelosi, who was obviously disturbed by the questions, snapped at Steinberg.
“SHUT UP!” Pelosi screamed as she pointed her finger at the correspondent.
“I did not refuse the National Guard. The president didn’t send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you’re a serious journalist?”
As we documented, Lindell TV is a right-wing outlet, and the question was designed as a gotcha question, and the reporter deliberately ignored the fact that it was not Pelosi’s job to authorize the National Guard.
An anonymously written Nov. 6 article quoted Trump as saying Pelosi is an “evil woman,” adding, “She was a tremendous liability for the country … who cost the country a lot in damages and in reputation.” Pelosi was given no opportunity to respond.
