WND Turns ‘Eat Real Food’ Campaign Into A Book Plug

Posted on March 2, 2026

Ron Strom dutifully wrote about a government-pushed food plan in a Jan. 7 WorldNetDaily article:

In a move sure to shake up what some call the Big Food industry, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Wednesday announced new federal nutritional guidelines.

“My message is clear: Eat real food,” Kennedy told White House reporters in a press briefing. “Nothing matters more for health care outcomes, economic productivity, military readiness and fiscal stability.”

The government guidelines, which are revised every five years, urge Americans to limit ultra-processed food and refined carbohydrates, and to prioritize protein-rich meals. They also reverse long-held U.S. government stances on red meat and saturated fats.

What really takes this over the top, however, is a Jan. 11 article plugging a WND employee’s book:

But is there more to this food fix than meets the eye, or mouth?

The answer is a definite yes, according to a bestselling Christian author who says there’s an inspiring message for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

“When people hear the phrase ‘Eat real food,’ their first thoughts may focus on physical food that we all toss into our mouth,” says Joe Kovacs, author of “Reaching God Speed: Unlocking the Secret Broadcast Revealing the Mystery of Everything.”

“But when we make the jump to the Spirit or parable level, which is the way Jesus exclusively taught according to Matthew 13:34, then a magnificent message can be tasted with delight.”

Kovacs says the easiest way to understand what’s being said on the Spirit level is to let the Bible speak for itself, as its spiritual metaphors are quite obvious.

“For instance, when Jesus says ‘Feed my sheep’ in John 21:17, He is not telling the apostle Peter to give physical food to some physical beasts,” says Kovacs.

“Everyone understands that Jesus is speaking metaphorically, telling Peter to FEED –– as in provide spiritual knowledge and understanding –– to SHEEP, which are believing PEOPLE.”

“So, when people hear ‘Eat real food,’ it’s precisely the same concept. It means to take in and understand the real food. And what, or more precisely WHO, is ‘real food?’ The answer of course is Jesus Christ! He actually calls Himself ‘real food,’ ‘true food’ and ‘real drink’ in John 6:55.”

Yes, Kovacs is glomming onto this proclamation in order to sell books. You will not be surprised to learn that Kovacs’ book is for sale in the WND store (though the store is farmed out to Amazon).

WND has been inserting Kovacs’ book into various news events since it was first published in 2022 without disclosing that he’s a WND employee.
