Bob Unruh concocted what he thought was the perfect spin on President Trump’s state of the union address in a Feb. 26 WorldNetDaily article:
U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who as House speaker over the years spent tens of thousands of tax dollars on special treats for herself while traveling to and from Washington on taxpayer-funded jets and who assigned a partisan committee to try to pin the blame for J6 on President Donald Trump, has come through for Americans again.
This time she’s defined just exactly what was wrong with Trump’s State of the Union.
Too much “patriotism.”
“You know, it’s one thing to acknowledge patriotism and people getting well and everything when you have absolutely nothing to do with their courage or the rest, but you spend an hour and a half doing it?” she insisted.
“The midterm ads write themselves,” responded social media.
Even though Unruh began with a lecture about what he thinks Pelosi did wrong, he failed to identify Pelosi’s critics as right-wingers — perhaps because he would also have identify himself as a right-winger too, and he knows he must keep up the fiction that he’s an honest reporter.
