WND’s Unruh Still Raging At Colorado For Not Being As Right-Wing As He Is

Posted on May 11, 2026

WorldNetDaily writer Bob Unruh’s state of war against his home state of Colorado for not being as right-wing as he is continued in a Jan. 6 article:

Pay up Coloradans!

That’s the result of a federal court ruling that that state’s officials wrongfully attacked a pro-life health care organization.

It’s not the first time that state’s residents have had to cough up cash for the leftist agendas of homosexual Gov. Jared Polis and the Democrat majority in the state legislature: Earlier penalties came because of the state’s demands that Christian business operators violate their faith and promote the LGBT lifestyle choices.

The most recent penalty for residents amounts to $5.4 million, according to officials at Becket, which represented Bella Health and Wellness after the state claimed, wildly, that it had the right to censor statements about the abortion pill reversal process.

Unruh censored the fact that abortion pill reversal is dubious at best; the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists points out that “Claims regarding abortion ‘reversal’ treatment are not based on science and do not meet clinical standards.” Unruh also failed to seek a response from Colorado officials to the ruling.

Unruh continued to huiff in a Feb. 16 article:

Some century and a half after slavery mostly ended across the rest of the United States, a federal judge now is ordering Colorado to end its own state slavery program.

It involves forcing inmates in the state prison system to work.

A report from KMGH-TV in Denver explains the case already is four years old, without appeals that could be forthcoming.

The ruling from Denver District Judge Sarah Wallace confirmed the Colorado Department of Corrections and Gov. Jared Polis violated the state constitution by forcing prisoners to work, effectively creating a “slavery” society.

State officials had claimed in court filings that the “loss of privileges” “as a consequence for declining work did not amount to involuntary servitude.”

Unruh did not explain whether he would support such a policy in a state he does not personally despise. Instead, he wrote that “Colorado not only has a Democrat governor but Democrat majorities in the state House and Senate and an all-Democrat state Supreme Court” without explaining what relevance, if any, this has to the issue at hand.

The same day, Unruh grumbled:

Colorado Democrats want prostitution to be legal across the state, and are working that direction, with a Democrat governor, Democrat majorities in the House and Senate, and an all-Democrat state Supreme Court in their arsenal of weapons.

“Tis month Senators Nick Hinrichson and Lisa Cutter, along with Representatives Lorena Garcia and Rebekah Stewart, all considered to be from the extreme left-wing of the Democrat majority, have put their names on the decriminalization bill,” explains a detailed report on the agenda at Complete Colorado.

Their plan, Senate Bill 97, “repeals the state criminal offenses of prostitution, soliciting for prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution, patronizing a prostitute, and prostitute making display. It also repeals the offense of pandering when it involves knowingly arranging or offering to arrange a situation that permits a person to practice prostitution,” the report said.

Unruh failed to contact any of the sponsoring senators for his hit piece — thus confirming that a hit piece was his goal.

Unruh raged against his governor again in a Feb. 23 article:

Colorado’s governor, Jared Polis, long has lived and promoted the homosexual lifestyle, while he was a state education regulator, while he was in Congress and in recent years as governor.

Under his tutelage, Democrat majorities in the state House and Senate repeatedly has pushed the often-injurious alternative lifestyle agenda.

With Polis leading, the state repeatedly has attacked the Christian faith, which doesn’t support LGBT schemes, bringing cases against a Christian baker who refused to violate his faith on the topic, against a web designer, against a preschool, and many more.

His agenda actually has cost the taxpayers in the state millions of dollars as the Supreme Court repeatedly has handed Polis’ agenda loss after loss.

But now there’s a new campaign that goes far beyond violating constitutionally protected First Amendment rights. Now lawmakers under Polis’ leadership want to simply cancel parental rights when the state wants their children to be transgender.

[…]

A report at the Federalist explains bluntly that “Colorado’s Democrat state legislators want to force transgenderism on parents, requiring them to affirm their child’s ‘gender identity’ or risk losing custody.”

The report describes how the “radical lawmakers” are pushing for a plan misleadingly labeled, “Concerning Legal Protections for The Dignity of a Minor.”

Unruh did not explain why minors are not entitled to dignity, and again he refused to allow any supporters of the bill to respond to his hit piece.,
