The Media Research Center’s designated hate-watcher of “The View,” Nicholas Fondacaro, cranked out posts attacking the show throughout this year. For instance, in the first few months of 2026, he raged that thte show’s hosts dared to criticize actions by President Trump and his lackeys:

Fondacaro played whataboutism in a Jan. 13 post:
Wednesday’s edition of The View featured an exercise in being unable to temper expectations to confirm with the reality and over reacting for political points. America was almost a full year into President Trump’s second term in office and the ABC co-hosts were still stuck in 2016 in terms of gripes about Trump – the man who’s crassness helped get him elected – being ‘unpresidential.’ What did he do this time? Well, he flipped off a union autoworker who flung an insult at him.
In the soundbite shared by Behar, someone could be heard allegedly calling him a “pedophile protector” and Trump reacting by initially pointing his index finger at the man before a blurred out hand appears.
“And Trump flipped him the bird a couple of times and used the “F” word on him. That is not what I call presidential!” Behar exclaimed. “In my lifetime, and that goes back to Jefferson, I have never heard a president use the ‘F’ word or flip the bird on an American citizen, a person, a person!” she howled in disgust.
Behar would later add that what she saw was “We’ve never seen anything like this! It’s so obnoxious! Horrible!”
[…]Of course, they were both engaging in some revisionist history since other president had flipped people the bird for various reasons.
President George W. Bush had his one-finger victory salute he gave to a camera before an interview. And Obama was accused of giving the gesture to Hillary Clinton during a public engagement on the campaign trail in 2008.
The View was clutching their pearls over Trump flipping the bird to an autoworker, but back in 2020 they didn’t have anything to say about then-candidate Biden threaten to physically attack an autoworker who confronted the him over his Second Amendment rights. “Don’t tell me that, pal, or I’m going to go out and slap you in the face,” Biden said.
Fondacaro huffed in a Jan. 20 post:
On Monday’s edition of The View, to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, actress Pam Grier was teed up by co-host Sunny Hostin to recall the racism she experienced while growing up in Columbus, Ohio in the 1950s. According to her, her mom would often have to get her and her siblings to avert their eyes lest they see a body hanging from a tree. But according to the Ohio Lynching Victims Memorial, the last lynching was in 1911. Other details about the story were questionable as well.
But as one observer noted, Grier “has no reason to lie about lynchings. If she said she saw bodies hanging from trees, why would y’all go to Google in an effort to prove her lived experience wrong? Is it crack?”
Fondacaro pushed his employer’s right-wing talking points on the partial government shutdown in a March 23 post:
No matter which party was in charge nor which party had publicly announced they were withholding their votes, the liberal media would always blame the Republicans, especially in an election year. The effort to manipulate the facts in that way was nakedly apparent during Monday’s episode of The View when the ABC co-hosts openly admitted it was Democrats who were “holding up funding” to the government and TSA, but still insisted it was “a Republican problem.”
[…]In Hostin’s warped mind, it was “a Republican choice” because they should just be capitulating to Democrats, who were the reason the shutdown in the first place.
Abby Huntsman, who was filling in as the so-called “conservative” guest co-host, noted that it took two to tango but Hostin still claimed the shutdown was the Republican Party’s doing:
Fondacaro hid the fact that a majority of Americans blamed Trump and Republicans for the shutdown. Of course, that would interfere with his assigned talking points.
