Media Research Center comedy cop Alex Christy stayed on the Jimmy Kimmel beat, lashing out at him in a June 10 post:
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel got more than he bargained for after a Tuesday bit he did to celebrate reality show personality Spencer Pratt falling outside of the top two in Los Angeles’s mayoral primary. As part of his victory dance, Kimmel and his crew decorated a U-Haul to help Pratt move, but the next day, Pratt would respond by posting a video on X of his burned-down home and claim he doesn’t need the U-Haul because he has nothing to put in it after the wildfires.
Kimmel began, “He clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he was going to move out of L.A. He said he was done with L.A. and Spencer, if you are watching, we are so, so, so sorry to see you go. But what we do know, we’re going to miss the hell out of you. You’re a man of your word. And you’ve got to go, you said you were going to go, and I know things might be tight right now, especially the out-of-state donation money is running out, moving is expensive. So, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul.”
[…]Kimmel continued, “So, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul. This is—it has plenty of room. It’s got two beds, tables, chairs, all your crystals, whatever you want. Our staff spent the whole day decorating it for you. And everybody that will notice you and wave good-bye as you leave, and I hope that you and Heidi are happy wherever it is you go. Maybe you can be mayor there or maybe just run for mayor and finish in third place. It could be fun for your new reality show season two. Either way, mazel tov and good-bye, Spencer Pratt. Let us know if you want it. We’ll drop it off in front of the Bel Air hotel.”
Pratt has insisted that he stayed at the hotel for security during the campaign. As for the U-Haul, Pratt posted on X on Wednesday, “Jimmy Kimmel i guess you missed the part of the story i don’t need a U-Haul… I have nothing left to pack” followed by a shrugging emoji.
Christy didn’t mention that Pratt spent well over $15,000 for his hotel stay, which we assume is not solely for security purposes.
Christy groused even more the folowing day:
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel became the first broadcast network comedian to mention Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner and his many scandals. However, Kimmel did not do so to condemn Democrats but to claim that if he loses, Republicans will nominate him for president in 2028. Later in his primary election recap, Kimmel would continue his strange new respect for Republicans like Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Kimmel recapped that, “There were primary elections in four states yesterday. In Maine, Democrats overwhelmingly voted for Graham Platner for Senate despite a number of embarrassing scandals, including revelations of a Nazi-esque tattoo on his body, sexting with women while he’s married, and allegations of abuse.”
Quickly getting back to his regular programming of attacking Republicans, Kimmel added, “If Democrats cannot get him into the Senate, word is the Republicans are planning to nominate him for president in 2028.”
Christy clearly failed to get the joke, instead whining that “Republicans aren’t going to nominate someone who has spoken well of communism.”
Christy added another late-night host he hates to his grousing in a June 19 post:
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel and NBC’s host of Late Night, Seth Meyers, both reacted to the Thursday opening of the Obama Presidential Center by hyping the celebrity guest list in an attempt to troll President Trump. Kimmel would take the trolling efforts one step further and hype former First Lady Michelle Obama’s speech that was a “subtle little jab” at Trump by citing her husband’s unearned Nobel Peace Prize.
Before that, Kimmel had to get in the typical accusations of racism. Reacting to New York Knicks owner James Dolan claiming the team has accepted a White House invite, Kimmel retorted, “Is there any chance James Dolan asked the team before he accepted that on their behalf? He might be in for a surprise if he didn’t. What if they don’t want to go? Maybe Dolan figures he can just put some random tall black guys in Knicks jerseys and Trump won’t know the difference.”
Christy also engaged in Obama derangement over Barack Obama’s presidential library when Kimmel noted that unlike Trump, Obama has won a Nobel Peace Prize, whining that “Obama did nothing to earn it.”
