Newsmax Columnists Push Americanism Agenda For Independence Day

Posted on October 6, 2026

Newsmax unsurprisingly took a Trump-centric approach to marking America’s 250th anniversary, and that pro-Americanism continued after the holiday ended. Partha Chakraborty took the WorldNetDaily route of cheering foreign tourists to the World Cup (the ones who parrot his ideological views, anyway) in a July 9 column:

The Scots in kilts recently invaded Boston for the World Cup 2026.

As have hordes of Brits, Argentines, Algerians, Japanese, and people from 47 countries in total. You will find them in small towns and main streets, walking googly eyed in wonder.

They are basking in the big little details of this American life, our peoples, our culture, our hospitality, and reporting back their amazement in words, pictures, and videos by the tens of thousands.

I can relate to their excitement because I felt the same when I landed here some time ago.

[…]

You cannot not celebrate the novelty of American Exceptionalism.

Once you participate in this American Experiment long enough the idea becomes an axiomatic truth.

That begins with the nation’s foundation in ideas.

That builds on the Constitution’s establishment and its removing obstacles to understanding, not just of our rights and privileges, but also our responsibilities.

This shows up in our constitutional republic, co-equal bodies with separation of powers, our system of checks and balances that implement the Bill of Rights.

[…]

On America’s 250th, let us bring Americanism to the forefront of our thoughts, in schools and colleges, in the media, and in public spaces. Celebrate America, but for those of you who cannot do that on the 250th, because they do not wish to do so, there are homes more suitable for you . . . elsewhere.

Weirdly, Chakraboty’s column ends with a disclaimer:

All opinions are of the Author alone, and do not necessarily represent that of any organization he may be part of. The author alone is responsible for any error or omission.

Shades of Jerome Corsi! Sounds like Chakraborty’s employer — he’s listed as “an economist, a statistician, and a financial analyst by training,” as well as “an entrepreneur in Water technologies, Blockchain and Wealth Management in US and India” — wants some plausible denial to distance itself from his opinions.

The same day, Dennis Kneale ranted at anyone who’s not as outwardly patriotic as he is (read: non-right-wingers):

I love my country, the United States of America, and I am prouder than ever as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

We are the freest people in the world, with the most dynamic, creative, and prodigiously wealth-creating economy in history.

Whatever our flaws, we mean well and we work on fixing them. We should be happy and grateful for all of this, yes? Astoundingly, the answer is “No!” for many liberals in the U.S.

What the heck are they thinking?

Celebrating America’s 250th birthday should be a welcome pursuit for all, yet a Gallup poll shows only 27% of Democratic voters say they are proud of our country. This compares with 93% of Republicans who say they are “extremely or very proud to be American.”

Kneale also played the World Cup card:

While liberals lament, legions of foreigners visiting the U.S. have posted adoring videos to TikTok and X, expressing awe and admiration at how great things are here: the amazing natural beauty in the Southwest; the vastness and bountiful shelves of a Walmart; two dozen varieties of sliced ham at the deli, 11 different versions of Dr. Pepper, free bread and coffee refills at restaurants, generous and friendly Americans eager to pick up the check.

Plus, 120 gasoline pumps at a Buc-ee’s.

One incredulous visitor asks, “Why? Are you refueling the U.S. Air Force? Are you preparing for an invasion?”

Kneale concluded with more liberal-bashing:

These pious, approval-seeking liberals should give it a rest and get back in touch with American pride and patriotism. You can despise our nation’s 47th commander in chief all you want — and still love your country, taking pride in living in the best nation on earth.

Trump will be out of office in a couple of years. America will still be here.

For America: stand unfailingly tall and be proud!

Kneale seems to have not considered that most people aren’t as flamboyantly patriotic as he is.
