Earlier this year, we caught Media Research Center transphobe Tierin-Rose Mandelburg pushing a parent’s claim about their transgender child purportedly being taken from their custody to further the transition. We overlooked an update Mandelburg wrote on Feb. 5:
A shocking new update has come out about the Kolstad family’s legal battle to get their daughter back.
Last week, MRCTV reported on the Kolstad family’s heartbreaking situation. As a refresher, Krista and Todd Kolstad lost custody of their daughter Jennifer (who’s name has been changed out of privacy) after she was removed from their home due to the fact that they wouldn’t help her transition into a boy. The Kolstads have been fighting to get their daughter back and out of harm’s way from the transgender regime, but have had no luck so far. In the latest update, the Kolstads have been told that if they continue fighting for their daughter, they’ll face “imminent arrest,” Reduxx reported.
After the Kolstad’s brought their case before a court, a judge ordered them to keep quiet about the situation by issuing a gag order. Obviously the Kolstads refused to keep quiet and allow leftist child abusers to continue helping their child transition. The family posted a video on social media begging for help “and spoke to press regardless out of concern over what was happening to their family,” Reduxx indicated. Now they’re at risk of arrest after speaking out.
To make matters worse, Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte has been siding with Child Protective Services in their removal of Jennifer. Travis Hall, the governor’s senior advisor, shared posts on social media claiming that the Kolstads were abusive parents. Apparently it’s abusive to not permit your child from going down a life threatening path of delusion.
Mandelburg seems not to understand that violating a legal court order to not speak publicly about the case has consequences. And it should alert Mandelburg that even the staunchly Republican Idaho governor — whom the MRC had previously cheered for assaulting a reporter — is supporting law and order amply demonstrate the Kolstads’ wrongness here. Indeed, court officials found that the Kolstads’ insistence on running to right-wing media to spew anti-transgender narratives showed the “unlikelihood of self-reflection and self-accountability or repentance by either father or stepmother.” So destructive were the Kolstads to their child, in fact, that they refused to permit the state to send the child to an out-of-state facility for treatment of suicidal thoughts, which further tells us that they are putting politics ahead of their child’s well-being.
But Mandelburg ignored the truth and portrayed the hateful, publicity-seeking parents as the real victims: “It’s heartbreaking to hear that another child is being abused, not by her parents, but by the leftists who insist that transitioning a child is helpful. They’re the abusers, not the Kolstads.”
Meanwhile, Mandelburg mislead about another case involving a transgender child and a parent with an agenda in an April 15 post:
California mom Anne Georgulas is petitioning state courts to let her get chemically-castrating puberty blockers for her 11-year-old biological son James, to help him with his “transition” to a female. The boy’s father, Jeff Younger, is fighting hard against the chemical castration of his son, and currently does not have custody of either of his kids, all because he doesn’t want his son to undergo harmful, life-changing and risky trans procedures.
This case has been developing for years, and on April 25, “court-ordained transgender ‘experts’ [are set to] take the stand” to convince the court that it should side with Georgulas, The Dallas Express reported over the weekend.
Little James’ mother started his transition when he was just two years old, and his school helped out. After the couple split, Younger said he would put James in little boys’ clothes to send him to school, and then the school would change him into girl clothes per his mother’s wishes. This obviously upset the father, who said his wife was clearly manipulating their young son into believing he was a girl.
The divorced couple, who both lived in Texas at the time, began fighting for custody over James and his twin sibling, and Georgulas fled to California with the kids. In 2022, Younger petitioned the Texas Supreme Court to force the return of his children, but in December 2022, the court rejected the petition, and the kids are still in California with their mother.
“My case is proof that the statutory design of the Texas Family Courts is abusive of the liberty of Texas citizens,” Younger wrote in a text message to The Dallas Express. “The family courts are a clear and present danger to the welfare of Texas children. Judge ‘Bloody’ Mary Brown, 301st District Court, stripped me of parental rights without possibility of appeal, just because I want to raise my son as a boy.”
LIke the Kolstads, Younger is violating a confidentiality court order by running to right-wing media to peddle his narrative. Further, Younger lost custody of the twins after refusing to pay child support — not because he “raise my son as a boy,” as Mandelburg credulously parroted — with full custody given to the mother, and the mother has accused Younger of “emotionally abusive” behavior. Rather than acknowledging Younger’s violation of legal court orders or that he has effectively relinquished control over the child through his refusal to pay child support, Mandelburg cheered Younger trying to politically profit off his abusive behavior toward his child:
Younger has been vocal in asking for support in his fight to keep his son healthy and out of harm’s way. He recently appeared on Unfiltered with Blaze TV where he shared the full story, urging people to go to his Facebook page called Help Save James which amasses over 41,000 followers for daily updates on the case.
He also insisted he needs help to “save my son” and made a Give Send Go account to collect donations to help cover the legal fees of the case.
It’s heartbreaking to hear about little James’ life being put at risk throughout this story, and it’s even more heartbreaking to realize that stories like James’ aren’t even that rare anymore because of how pro-trans and anti-child safety our nation has become.
Endorsing Younger’s partisan emotional manipulation should make one fear for any child Mandelburg might have in the future.
