WND’s Unruh Keeps Up Anger At Colorado For Failing To Be Right-Wing

Posted on July 1, 2026

Bob Unruh’s rage against his home state of Colorado for failing to be as far-right as he is continued in a Feb. 25 WorldNetDaily article that starts with a lecture:

Colorado has been working very hard in recent years to out-California that leftist state in pursuit of ideological extremism.

Launch a state case against a wedding cake artist for his religion? Done.

Try to force counselors to promote LGBT agenda points while banning them from speaking the truth? Lawmakers have claimed it’s “speech” when LGBT is promoted, but it’s “behavior” when alternatives are discussed, actually using “speech.” Done.

Attack church programs that deliver food to people? Done.

Attack preschools that include faith elements? Done.

Raise taxes massively but call them “fees” to get around a constitutional limitation. This scheme means that state residents pay “fees” to use their own roads and bridges, but out-of-state travelers are not obligated to pay those “fees.” Done.

Create a self-perpetuating revolving door in the legislature where many of the Democrat newcomers now are “appointed” by political committees, not elected by voters. Done.

Tap several billionaires to over-fund state legislative races so that Democrats win. Done

It wasn’t until the ninth paragraph of his article that Unruh got around to his ostensible point:

But now a columnist, Independence Institute chief Jon Caldara, has gone to Complete Colorado to outline an agenda that attacks the First Amendment AND the Second Amendment in one plan being pushed by the Democrat-majority legislature.

The state’s governor is far-left Democrat Jared Polis, who promotes his homosexual lifestyle choice, and the state’s Supreme Court held only Democrats when they tried in 2024 to remove President Donald Trump from the election ballot. They were slapped down by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The leftists’ newest agenda is part of their gun-phobia, and involves a move that would make it illegal to have Xs and Os of computer code in a certain order.

Caldara notes that it formerly was liberals who championed free speech.

Not anymore.

“Now in Colorado it is punishable to ‘mis-gender’ someone. By speaking truthfully, say calling a man, ‘a man,’ when he’d rather you not, you can be brought up on civil charges,” he explained. “Our Democrats voted for this … . “

The new plan is the Democrats’ House Bill 1144, to ban making gun parts on a three-dimensional printer.

Those make little plastic parts, widgets and such.

That’s right — it took Unruh 16 paragraphs to finally get to the actual point of his article, that Colorado wants to outlaw 3D-printed guns. And Unruh did not allow anyone to rebut Caldara’s ridiculous free-speech argument.

Unruh’s rage against Colorado merged with his hatred of transgender people for a March 14 article:

Officials in a huge Colorado school district have thumbed their collective nose at federal regulations regarding the presence of boys on girls’ athletic teams, and in girls’ intimate areas like showers and motel rooms, announcing that they instead will follow the opinions from “prior federal administrations.”

It is Denver’s Channel 7 that reported the federal Department of Education has found Jefferson County schools in violation of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and ordered officials there to reverse policies allowing boys who say they are girls on girls’ teams.

This determination, like the one that earlier cited schools in California and preceded a federal lawsuit against those schools, was from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

Jefferson County’s school now face, if they do not change their practices, “imminent enforcement action” that could include the loss of federal funding.

[…]

Reports say the district, in fact, bases rooming assignments for students on their “gender identity,” the false belief that boys can say they are girls, and become girls.

The district tells parents boys and girls will be separated for overnight accomodations, but then conceals the fact that it defines boys with gender dysphoria as girls.

Surprisingly, Unruh gave school officials an opportunity to respond — but he immediately attacked that response:

Joe Biden’s administration, in fact, chose as one of its highest priorities the promotion of LGBT lifestyle choices, especially the transgender ideology which it promoted throughout American government and around the globe. The ideology is failed, as scientifically, males cannot become females or vice versa.

Further, the schools claim that the extreme leftist agenda on the state of Colorado, which has attacked Christians for their faith, demanded to control the speech of counselors, tried unsuccessfully to control the faith statements of business owners, pushed LGBT ideologies everywhere under the guidance of homosexual Gov. Jared Polis, and more, requires them to subject girls to boys in their locker rooms.

Note that Unruh refuses to admit that Biden was president, on top of his lecture mode about “homosexual” Polis and the unsupported assertions that failure to be heterosexual is an “ideology’ and a “lifestyle choice.”
