Like the Media Research Center and Newsmax, WorldNetDaily went on the attack against President Biden’s State of the Union address. Bob Unruh began things by repeating Republican propaganda straight from House Speaker Mike Johnson:
Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech likely was not written for delivery Thursday evening to include how he opened the southern border and created a crisis for the whole nation – an invasion of millions of illegals.
Or his policy changes that allowed literally tons of illegal drugs to flood into America, killing people.
Or his disastrous economy that has seen inflation for consumers up 18% since he took office. And those mortgage rates that have double, pushing millions out of the housing market.
Or his attacks on America’s energy industries.
Or his surging crime.
So House Speaker Mike Johnson has done it for him.
The Washington Examiner explained Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, was citing Biden’s record.
His video “combined clips of Biden’s comments about the border, economy, and other policy matters with his worst moments, including tripping up the stairs of Air Force One,” the report said of the video headlined, “The State of the Union is in decline.”
An anonymously written article served up more preview propaganda from a right-wing actor:
Just as Joe Biden was getting prepared to deliver Thursday’s State of the Union address to the nation, James Woods issued a reminder to those who may watch.
About just who is giving the address.
“The worst person ever ensconced in the Oval Office” and “this angry foul creature.”
Another anonymously written prebuttal piece touted how “President Donald Trump, the presumptive 2024 GOP nominee for the White House, has released a fact-filled video blasting Joe Biden’s administration in advance of the Democrat’s scheduled State of the Union.”
During the speech, WND offered up live responses to the State of the Union from both Donald Trump (as least, if his Truth Social hadn’t “crashed just ahead of President Biden’s speech“) and Tucker Carlson.
After the speech, WND hurled more hate Biden’s way. A march 8 article by Unruh insisted that a far-right activist was a “respected columnist”:
Many commentators have concluded that Joe Biden’s State of the Union to Congress this week was simply a campaign speech, since he boasted about things he hasn’t accomplished and deliberately attacked his likely opponent, President Donald Trump, along with vast swaths of Americans supporting Trump.
But Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism, went further.
“This was not a State of the Union address, it was a fascistic campaign rally of the kind that he had been giving for years, most disturbingly while flanked by Marines at Independence Hall before the 2022 midterms, declaring war on Trump, Republicans and all political opponents,” he analyzed.
Unruh did not explain who, if anyone, actually respects Greenfield.
An anonymous article touted a video that supposedly “confirmed that Joe Biden’s State of the Union to Congress this week included multiple themes and ideologies that have appeared before, in 2022 and 2023.” Another article by Unruh latched onto an unproven conspiracy theory:
Joe Biden these days mostly is slow and stumbling in both his walk and his talk. He often braces himself on a podium to speak. And he’s gained a reputation for randomly looking around and wandering across a stage, trying to get off.
So why, during his State of the Union, was he, as supporters claimed, “fiery?” He shouted and spit words out at hyperspeed, sometimes making a verbal slip but moving on without a correction.
Drugs, suspects one expert. Amphetamine. Uppers.
A report at PJMedia explains anyone watching could see it.
“If you look at how Joe Biden usually is — slow and stumbling — compared to how he was during the State of the Union — fiery and angry — these are signs that are typical for someone taking Adderall or any amphetamine,” Carole Lieberman, a forensic psychiatrist in Beverly Hills, said in the report,
Unruh did concede that Lieberman “has not examined Biden” — meaning that she has no evidence to back up her conspiratorial claims.
