Newsmax Floods The Zone Over Trump-Musk Feud

Posted on July 21, 2025

Newsmax wavered on Elon Musk after the 2024 election but eventually fell in line with the rest of the Trump Regime Media, to the point where it portrayed him as a victim (of his own actions). Indeed, Newsmax devoted three whole articles to Musk’s appearance at CPAC earlier this year. Thjere was even a May 29 Newsmax appearance in which Vice President J.D. Vance declared that “the Elon Musk era in the Trump administration is not over following the end of the billionaire tech mogul’s term as a special government employee.”

A week later, however, the bloom was off the rose. Sandy Fitzgerald wrote in a June 5 article:

Elon Musk, less than a week after leaving his role leading President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency efforts to cut spending and waste, on Tuesday savaged the president’s “big beautiful” tax-and-spending-cut bill as a “disgusting abomination” and chastised lawmakers for voting for it.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX posted on X, the social media site he owns. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

For some reason, this feud resulted in an avalanche of coverage by Newsmax over the following couple of days:

There was even a subset of articles about Musk’s reference to Trump’s alleged relationship with Jeffrey Epstein:

  • Musk Smears Trump Over Epstein Connection
  • Musk’s Father Calls Epstein Comment a ‘Silly Mistake’
  • Patel: Not Participating in Musk’s Claim of Trump-Epstein Link

That’s a lot of fretting over Musk on the part of Newsmax.
