With Book Announcement, MRC Spews More Hate At Jean-Pierre

Posted on July 31, 2025

The Media Research Center — mainly Curtis Houck — spent Karine Jean-Pierre’s term as White House press secretary spewing hate at her and denigrating her as incompetent. When news that Jean-Pierre was going to write a book surfaced, Houck indulged in that hate again in a June 4 post:

On Wednesday, Biden White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre – our reliable source of seemingly endless content – announced she not only would have a tell-all book coming out in October about her time in the White House (entitled Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines), but she has left the Democrat Party [sic].

Unfortunately for Democrats (which was pointed out on The Megyn Kelly Show), the left cannot undo the mistake of letting someone in who showed an astounding inability to grasp basic English and think on her feet.

She made the announcement in an Instagram post that, like her tenure in the White House, was a whole lot of nothing.

We transcribed it below, so try and find any genuine sort of being behind declarations about having people ask her as some sort of expert on “how do we get out of this”…which in and of itself is unclear. Also, don’t miss the repetitive references to boxes[.]

After citing some non-right-wing critics of Jean-Pierre, Houck went on to preen that “it’s safe to say Jean-Pierre has plenty on her own side who are now willing to at least imply she wasn’t up for the job.”

The next day, Jorge Bonilla huffed:

The legacy media generally love to report on perceived palace intrigue and betrayal, unless the intrigue happens within a Democrat White House. Then, it’s all quiet on the Leftern Front. NBC’s reporting on the new book by former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is the exception.

NBC Nightly News was the only evening legacy newscast to cover Jean-Pierre’s new book and party switch.

[…]

Jean-Pierre stands out as a poster child for the kind of shamelessness that people expect to see out of Washington. Credit to NBC News for briefly exposing that to their viewers- unlike CBS and ABC.

Houck returned in a June 5 post touting his mancrush bashing Jean-Pierre:

On Thursday during the third hour on FNC’s Fox & Friends, senior White House correspondent and Briefing Room purveyor Peter Doocy excoriated Biden White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over her proclamation that she’s left the Democrat Party [sic] and has penned a book Independent with a subtitle implying the place she worked for four years was a dumpster fire.

Doocy ran through former President Biden’s statement responding to the Justice Department probe into the Biden regime’s use of autopen when he stated the reality that Jean-Pierre was not considered part of Biden’s “inner, inner circle.”

Instead, though, Doocy noted her return to the spotlight was slammed by anonymous former colleagues in Politico as having embarked on a “grift” and “monet[ized]…dumb” “ideas.”

Doocy then gave his two cents, which notably are a vast difference from the collegial back-and-forth (and one could argue a sense of mutual respect) with Jean-Pierre’s predecessor, Jen Psaki:

Of course, Houck will never admit that this shows Doocy is a highly biased right-wing reporter. Instead, he celebrated Doocy’s hatred of Jean-Pierre:

Doocy correctly laid waste to that possible thesis, concluding with a brutal zing about Jean-Pierre having claimed her book was about fighting “disinformation” and “misinformation” when her tenure was defined by her spewing it daily:

[…]

After the co-hosts chuckled in saying Jean-Pierre would declare in her book Doocy was right, Doocy disagreed and instead said he’s “sure my name will be in there about somebody who gave her a really hard time.”

This went into a sarcastic mic-drop from Doocy:

P.J. Gladnick cited other non-right-wing criticism of Jean-Pierre in a June 8 post:

New York magazine writer Charlotte Klein is really annoyed with former Biden White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. What bothers Klein isn’t the fact that KJP was utterly incompetent as now attested to by her former fellow White House colleagues, nor even the fact that she is obviously grifting with the launch of her new self-serving book. No, what irks Klein is the word “independent” which KJP has latched onto with her announcement that she is leaving the Democrat party [sic].

Justine Brooke Murray summarized an appearance by her and her boss, Tim Graham, in a Newsmax safe space: “Even his former spokeswoman, Karine Jean Pierre is trying to distance herself from the dwindling Democrat party.”

Interesting how nobody at the MRC can get the name of the Democratic Party correct. It’s like they have been indoctrinated into being wrong about it.
