Bob Unruh’s Sept. 30 WorldNetDaily article on the University of Colorado getting fined because students directed an offensive chant at the Brigham Young University football team begins unsurprisingly with a gratuitous shot at the school:
Students attending a football game for the University of Colorado, well known as a party school at least partly because its location in far-left Boulder, Colorado, and its proximity to ski resorts for students to reach during winter months, chanted a slogan.
It was highly critical of CU’s opponent in the game, Brigham Young University.
In fact, they said, “F— the Mormons.”
Unruh loves to denigrate his home state. On top of that, he’s pretending there’s no such thing as right-wing anti-Mormonism, as exhibited during Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. Unruh’s employer engaged in some of that as well:
- Jerry McGlothlin declared that Romney’s Mormonism is “problematic.”
- Mychal Massie huffed that “Mitt Romney is not a Christian; he’s a Mormon – and yes, there is a difference.”
Unruh didn’t mention WND’s previous hostility to Mormonism.
