For at least the third year in a row, the Media Research Center’s Nicholas Fondacaro unleashed an armada of year-end posts detailing just how much he hates (and hate-watches) “The View.” First up was a Dec. 19 complaint that the show didn’t issue legal notes last year:
NewsBusters got under the skin of ABC’s The View when we did our first study counting their infamous “legal notes” (three dozen in one year), back in 2022. Over time, the study appeared to be so effective that the show had completely abandoned the practice. In 2025, The View had issued ZERO “legal notes.” But that doesn’t mean the notes weren’t sorely needed.
Previously, The View cast were forced to issue “legal notes” when they would accuse someone of committing crimes before either they were found guilty or before they were even charged; many times baselessly accusing a conservative of a crime without even a hint of illegality. All designed to protect ABC News from legal liability from the wild claimed their news program would make.
Fondacaro whined in a Dec. 22 post:
December 19 was The View’s last new show of the year, so it was the perfect time to examine how the ABC News program (the number one rated day-time talk show) was presenting political discussions to their audience in 2025. Over the course of the year (the later half of Season 28 and the first half of Season 29), the predominantly Democratic / anti-Trump cast spoke politics with 128 liberal guests and only 2 conservatives*.
That asterisk did not actually go anywhere in Fondacaro’s post. It’s presumably a reference to the so-called study’s methodology:
For a guest to be counted as either liberal or conservative, they needed to express such views during their appearance on The View. If a celebrity did not discuss politics, they were not included in the count of political leanings even if they had a history of being outspoken in the past. For example, actor Robert De Niro had a history of speaking out against President Trump, but was not included in the liberal count because politics did not come up.
From there, Fondacaro cranked out the usual hate-filled posts on how bad (according to him) “The View” acted over the previous year:
- Danger to Society: 12 Times The View Used Inciting Rhetoric in 2025
- Time to Retire? 12 Times Behar & Whoopi Were Divorced from Reality in 2025
- Toxic Heart: 8 of Sunny Hostin’s Most Racist Moments of 2025
- The View-Anon: 12 Times The View Peddled Wild Conspiracies in 2025
- Dark Hearts: 8 Times The View Cast Were Miserable Crones in 2025
That’s a total of seven posts about the show Fondacaro loves to hate-watch. Such name-calling, like “miserable crones” and dismissing Hostin as “racist,” appears to be what Fondacaro lives for. No wonder “The View” — as does most sentient people — find him annoying.
