Bob Unruh’s Jan. 7 WorldNetDaily article begins with a lecture:
Democrats in the U.S. Congress have held a “hearing,” unofficial though it may be, marking the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, protest-turned-riots at the U.S. Capitol.
At that time, President Donald Trump urged his fans to protest peacefully over what they regarded as a corrupted election.
That vote total gave the White House to Joe Biden for four years, and now Trump, in his second term, is working to repair damage done to America during that time.
Note that Unruh refuses to admit that Biden was president, denying him that basic honorific. He also failed to mention that Trump also told his fans that “if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
Unruh’s revisionism continued:
The vote itself has been confirmed to have been subjected to undue influences that more than likely changed the actual outcome: The first being Mark Zuckerberg’s injection of $400 million plus for local elections officials to use to recruit voters in Democrat districts.
The second was the FBI’s decision to interfere by falsely claiming that the Biden scandals uncovered in a laptop abandoned by Hunter Biden were Russian disinformation, when agents knew at the time they were real.
We’ve documented how, in reality, Zuckerberg made the money available to all comers and it was not restricted for use in “Democrat districts.”Further, the laptop — actually, copies of files taken from his laptop without his permission — were initially dismissed as Russian disinformation because that’s exactly what it looked like.
Unruh continued to revise the riot:
It’s just past Jan. 6, and Democrats were reliving their glory days of a long-disbanded special partisan committee set up by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to orchestrate evidence to make it look bad for Trump.
They had people testify about the events that day, but online, evidence, through video, confirmed that it was Pelosi herself who admitted responsibility for not having the National Guard prepared to secure the building.
Unruh offered no evidence that Pelosi “orchestrated evidence to make it look bad for Trump,” and th3e claim that Pelosi “admitted responsibility” for the riot is contradicted by actual evidence.
Unruh almost certainly knows that he’s lying to and misleading his readers by spreading a revisionist history of the Capitiol riot. But lying and misleading are what WND pays him to do.
