Bob Unruh’s Jan. 2 WorldNetDaily article yet again demonstrates that WND is Trump Regime Media. He begins with another lecture:
President Donald Trump whose health at age 79 is a constant talking point for Democrats after they essentially ignored the years-long physical and mental decline of Joe Biden before he turned in a catastrophic debate performance against Trump and dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, has been used as ammunition by Democrats.
They harp on his performance regularly, complaining that about the condition of the skin on his hands, about his cardiovascular condition, and much more.
Now Trump has moved to take away some of that “ammunition.”
Unruh didn’t explain away Democrats’ concerns about Trump’s health — then let Trump himself take the floor:
A report at the Washington Examiner explains Trump has clarified that a few weeks ago during his annual exam he had a cardiovascular and abdominal CT scan, not an MRI.
“The White House Doctors have just reported that I am in ‘PERFECT HEALTH,’ and that I ‘ACED’ (Meaning, was correct on 100% of the questions asked!), for the third straight time, my Cognitive Examination, something which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take,” Trump told Americans on social media. “P.S., I strongly believe that anyone running for President, or Vice President, should be mandatorily forced to take a strong, meaningful, and proven Cognitive Examination. Our great Country cannot be run by ‘STUPID’ or INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!”
Trump also explained to the Wall Street Journal he misspoke weeks ago when he talked of receiving an MRI, when it actually was a CT scan.
“In retrospect, it’s too bad I took it because it gave them a little ammunition. I would have been a lot better off if they didn’t, because the fact that I took it said, ‘Oh gee, is something wrong?’ Well, nothing’s wrong,” he explained.
He also confirmed he takes daily aspirin, at a dose slightly higher than recommended by his doctors.
You might remember that Newsmax tried to take credit for Trump having a CT scan instead of an MRI, as well as freaking out over the amount of aspirin he takes. Unruh’s report wouldn’t be complete if there wasn’t some over-the-top gushing from Trump’s doctor:
Trump’s physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, said, “In order to make the most of the president’s time at the hospital, we recommended he undergo another routine physical evaluation to ensure continued optimal health.”
He said the CT scan revealed “the advanced imaging was perfectly normal and revealed absolutely no abnormalities.”
A report at Fox said the results of tests show Trump in excellent health.
The report said, “Barbabella added that Trump’s overall examinations show his health is that of a man 14 years younger than his 79 years of age.”
How, exactly, did Barbabella determine that Trump’s health “is that of a man 14 years younger”? Unruh doesn’t say.
