WND’s Clinton Derangement Syndrome Over Epstein Testimony Continues

Posted on May 15, 2026

WorldNetDaily’s Clinton Derangement Syndrome over testimony in the Jeffrey Epstein case continued in a Jan. 13 article by Bob Unruh:

Bill Clinton now is facing the possibility of being cited by Congress for contempt after he refused to appear to testify about his friend, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as required by a subpoena.

Reports confirm that Clinton gave Epstein as many as 17 White House visits while he was president, and often flew on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” jet.

He was summoned by the House Oversight Committee which is investigating the Epstein scandals.

Unruh waited until the 18th paragraph of his article to admit that the Clintons considered the subpoenas to be “legally unenforceable,” but he went on to rage that “Social media was, equally, calling for an arrest, and protesting how they are being protected by the system.”

Joe Kovacs followed up in a Jan. 20 article:

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee says lawyers for Bill and Hillary Clinton have made a “ridiculous” and “untenable offer” concerning potential testimony about their connections to Palm Beach pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, seeking no official transcript and no other members of Congress present.

“Facing contempt of Congress, the Clintons’ lawyers made an untenable offer: that I travel to New York for a conversation with President Clinton only,” said U.S. Rep. James Comer, R-Ky. “No official transcript would be recorded and other Members of Congress would be barred from participating. I have rejected the Clintons’ ridiculous offer.”

“The Clintons’ latest demands make clear they believe their last name entitles them to special treatment,” he continued.

The next day, Unruh cheered a contempt vote:

A congressional committee vote on Wednesday advanced a plan to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for refusing to respond to duly issued subpoenas.

It was the House Oversight Committee that recommended holding the longtime Democrat party leaders in contempt for refusing to cooperate with the panel’s investigation of the Justice Department’s handling of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

“The committee does not take this action lightly,” Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, the committee’s chairman, said ahead of the vote. “But subpoenas are not mere suggestions. They carry the force of law, and require compliance. Former President Clinton and Secretary Clinton were legally required to appear for depositions before this committee. They refused.”

It wasn’t until the final paragraph that Unruh admitted that the Clintons “claimed no knowledge of criminal activities by Epstein.”

Unruh continued to grouse about possible accommodations for the Clintons’ testimony in a Feb. 2 article:

The House Oversight Committee has, for a second time, rejected demands from Bill and Hillary Clinton that they be given special treatment under the law and be allowed accommodations in order to answer questions from Congress about the late, and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

The committee is investigating Epstein, his life and actions, and has summoned a long list of government officials and celebrities to discuss their knowledge of Epstein.

The Clintons are among those subpoenaed.

The following day, Unruh hyped another development favorable to his side:

Bill and Hillary Clinton have caved in their fight with the House Oversight Committee over the subpoenas they got demanding their information about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in a New York jail cell in 2019.

A statement from a spokesperson said, “They negotiated in good faith. You did not.”

The unsubstantiated claim suggested Rep. James Comer, the chief of Oversight, somehow did not meet the Clintons’ expectations when the committee summoned them for testimony.

The committee already had voted to find the Clintons in contempt of Congress, a situation that could result in jail time, and it was unclear whether a pending vote in the House would be derailed by the Clinton’s 11th-hour change of heart.

Unruh made no attempt to substantiate the claim, and he couldn’t be bothered to actually contact the Clintons for their side of the story.
