Media Research Center writer Joseph Vazquez’s obsession with hating George Soros and his son continued in a March 12 post:
Is it any real surprise that the crown prince of the most notorious left-wing empires in American politics is getting all bent out of shape because President Donald Trump decided to finally dismantle the murderous Islamist regime of Iran?
Alex Soros got his panties in a bunch after the United States launched coordinated strikes on Iran with Israel, and praised the leftist-run Spain for grandstanding against the attacks in a March 2 X post that got ratioed into oblivion. “Why aren’t more Europeans standing up to an illegal war! Same with Canada! They make nice speeches at conferences, but do little. Spain is becoming the leader of the free world,” Soros whined, as if the world would have been better off with a bloodthirsty “Death to America” cult wreaking havoc across the Middle East.
Alex apparently doesn’t see the absolute incoherence of angrily opposing action against the Islamists in Iran while he reshared the Open Society Foundations X post for International Women’s Day that reads, “This International Women’s Day, and every day, we are called to show moral clarity and stand up for the rights of every person on this planet.” Uh, hello!
Why doesn’t Vazquez want to stand up for the rights of Iranians? He doesn’t say why he has chosen to exclude this group of people. Instead, he rehashed old attacks:
MRC Business has documented how Soros poured small fortunes into a litany of groups that celebrated terrorist group Hamas’s October 7 genocide against the Jewish people as some sort of a Palestinian liberation effort. Then-Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tried to downplay this connection by saying during a question-and-answer session before the Iranian parliament that Tehran’s work with Soros “predated his term and boast[ed] ‘regulating’ it.”
As we documented, Vazquez’s attacks are largely of the guilt-by-association variety, which also involved taking a Soros quote out of context. He went on to describe President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran “feckless” — even though his successor, Trump, pulled out of that deal, which arguably helped lead to Trumo’s current war on Iran.
Vazquez whined further in an April 18 post:
It appears that retirement isn’t exactly suiting leftist billionaire George Soros, as America’s most notorious political kingmaker was revealed to have dropped another massive fortune ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
The Soros group, Fund for Policy Reform, pumped a whopping $50 million into his political cash guzzler Democracy PAC January 13, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
Despite officially handing the reins of his $25 billion Open Society Foundations to his more unhinged acolyte son Alex, the elder Soros is signaling that he has no intention of abandoning his years-long obsession with buying control of the U.S. government for Democrats and politically handicapping his nemesis President Donald Trump. As Forbes magazine contextualized April 16, Soros has once again positioned himself as the largest midterm election donor so far.
[…]Buying political outcomes has been synonymous with the Soros brand for decades. As Soros concluded himself in Soros on Soros: Staying Ahead of the Curve (1995): “Of course, what I do could be called meddling, because I want to promote an open society. An open society transcends national sovereignty.” And if the $32 billion Soros poured into his empire over the years is any indication, it’s that money isn’t an object when it comes to ensuring that his dark open society worldview becomes reality.
No mention, of course, of the more than $250 million Elon Musk spent to get Trump re-elected, let alone the more than $20 million he spent on a single race to aid his preferred judicial candidate in Wisconsin. It’s as if Vazquez is exhibiting a double standard.
Vazquez whining continued:
Americans should be alert: Soros may have taken on emeritus status within his organization, but he’s still as dedicated as ever to bending the “arc of history” towards his New World Order-ish utopia.
As if Musk is not trying to do the same thing — or that Vazquez would dare to treat him as harshly as he does Soros.
Vazquez ranted even more two days later:
It appears that the newly minted king of the Open Society Foundations empire, Alex Soros, is cashing in on years of cultivating relationships with some of the world’s most powerful leaders to wage a global political assault against the right.
The radical leftist political party of Spain, El Partido Socialista led by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, hosted the inaugural Global Progressive Mobilization summit between April 17-18. The whole affair was characterized as a “necessary alternative to conservative and far-right forces” the summit website and boasted that by “uniting regions and generations, we will defend democracy and advance social justice.”
The chilling goal, according to the mission statement, is to “turn conviction into action and ambition into results.” Soros couldn’t contain his enthusiasm regarding his involvement with the event in his April 18 X post, “It was an honor to welcome so many incredible leaders and advocates to Barcelona for the inaugural Global Progressive Summit.”
Vazquez curiously said nothing about the various shindigs right-wingers take part in, including CPAC.
