In an Aug. 4 NewsBusters post, Noel Sheppard got a charge out of right-wing Ramesh Ponnuru having “marvelously told” liberal-leaning Roland Martin to “call these things as you see them, not just be a political hack for your team.”
Of course, Sheppard himself is eminently guilty of political hackdom. From his frequently holding conservatives to different standards than liberals to getting stuff wrong to his massive overuse of headline cliches to being shocked by the non-shocking to his slavish devotion to perpetuating global warming denialism to being to being a jerk, Sheppard is the consummate right-wing political hack.
Indeed, it’s this very political hackdom that keeps him employed as the associate editor at NewsBusters.
