Newsmax Fawns Over Trump For 200 Days In Office

Posted on October 23, 2025

Marking the first 200 days of a presidency isn’t really a thing, but Newsmax made a big deal out of it anyway. There was a special TV show on it, needless to say:

President Donald Trump celebrates his 200th day in office Thursday, and Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty hosts a special report titled “Trump 200: America Rises.”

Border czar Tom Homan, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy are among the guests who’ll appear on “Finnerty” at 8 p.m. ET.

Trump has been called “the most influential president of this century,” and Finnerty will speak with administration members to explain why that’s the case.

Whether it’s shutting down the migrant crisis at the southern border, forcing universities to address on-campus antisemitism as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, and working to improve air traffic control, Trump has tackled major issues on the minds of many Americans.

That show generated more fawning articles:

  • Tom Homan to Newsmax: Trump 200 Days, ‘Most Secure Border in History’
  • McMahon to Newsmax: Trump to Cut Bureaucracy, Not Education

And, of course, there was in-person fluffing of the man himself:

Thinking about his first 200 days in office, President Donald Trump told Newsmax that he’s most proud of doing so much “in so little time.”

At the forefront is the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that he signed into law on July 4, his sweeping domestic funding bill that is “full of goodies” for every segment of America, he said.

“The bill is the biggest bill ever passed in Congress. And it gives you so many things. Not only the biggest tax cuts, but when you see the job numbers and think of this: No tax on tips, no tax on Social Security benefits for our seniors and things. I mean, the numbers are staggering,” Trump said in an interview that aired Thursday on “Finnerty.”

As for the next 200 days, Trump told host Rob Finnerty it’s about implementing every facet of the megabill.

No evidence was offered that Finnerty offered any sort of critical counterpoint to his guests’ self-promoting claims.

A few days later, an article touted how “Former Reps. Peter King, R-N.Y., and Jack Kingston, R-Ga., Sunday on Newsmax, praised what they called major accomplishments by President Donald Trump in his first 200 days in office, citing border security, foreign policy, and cultural issues.” They wouldn’t be on Newsmax if they didn’t.
