MRC’s Dirty War On Soros Goes Conspiratorial

Posted on November 7, 2025

The Media Research Center’s ongoing dirty war against George Soros moved toward the conspiratorial, with chief Soros-hater Joseph Vazquez straining to link Soros to whatever controversy is in the right-wing narrative. He huffed in an Aug. 4 post:

The declassified appendix to the much-anticipated report by Special Counsel John Durham has sent the internet ablaze over its documentation of Hillary Clinton’s insidious scheme in 2016 to falsely tie then-candidate Donald Trump to Russia in order to boost her own presidential campaign. That vendetta would culminate in one of the most notorious political witch hunts ever foisted on the American people that would effectively hamstring the administration of a duly elected president for four years.

But one of the most damning revelations was that leftist billionaire George Soros, the City Journal-dubbed “Connoisseur of Chaos” who has used his billions to completely overhaul world politics into his own personal utopian experiment, was somehow connected to the Russia Hoax this entire time.

Am I surprised? Not even close.

And we’re not surprised that Vazquez is parroting his employer’s narrative and denying that the fact that there were numerous links between Trump’s campaign and Russian operatives.

Vazquez then bragged about how he had been red-pilled by his employer on Soros:

Before I joined MRC Business six years ago, all I knew about leftist billionaire George Soros was that he was an extremely powerful megadonor keeping the Democrat political machine well-oiled. Boy, was I in for a serious red-pilling! After spending countless hours studying his books, researching his philanthropic giant’s gargantuan financing of radical anti-American movements worldwide, dissecting his unprecedented global political influence and coming to grips with his dark, god-complex-driven philosophy on “bending” the “arc of history,” I became convinced that he — and now his “more political” heir and son Alex — were far more dangerous political figures than I initially gave them credit for.

The billionaire I’ve come to know as MRC’s Soros researcher is one that is intent on embedding himself and his cronies in every level of society and government in the U.S. and elsewhere to make his disturbing One World Order-ish political fantasies come true.

That would seem to be a cry for psychiatric help, not a reason for bragging.

Vazquez tried to tie Soros to opposition Texas redistricting in an Aug. 7 post:

Once again, leftist billionaire George Soros’s political machine has reared itself to wreak havoc. This time, it’s stoking the flames of ongoing political turmoil taking place in Texas over the issue of redistricting.

The radical Texas Majority PAC, which has received millions in funding from Soros, has reportedly joined forces with a group led by failed gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke to pick up the costs incurred by the approximately 50 Democrat state representatives fleeing to avoid a vote in the state’s legislature on congressional redistricting.

The Soros-backed group in particular is “working with national fundraising groups to secure additional funds for the last-ditch delaying tactic,” according to Fox News. O’Rourke’s group, on the other hand, is “paying for airfare, lodging, and helping with the $500-per-day fines the lawmakers face for skipping legislative session.”

[…]

A massive redistricting overhaul of Texas would definitely foil the Soros machine’s plans to move the state firmly into the left-wing camp. No wonder it’s doing whatever it can to stop it.

Vazquez didn’t mention the partisan Republican nature of the redistricting.

Vazquez inserted Soros into the Israel-Gaza war in an Aug. 22 post:

The president of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations finally pulled the mask off and showcased to the world why the empire she works for is hostile to Israel and openly funding groups that celebrated Hamas’s carnage on October 7, 2023.

Binaifer Nowrojee outlandishly smeared Israel for supposedly using starvation as a weapon of war against Palestinians in an Aug. 15 op-ed for the powerful Soros-funded global publication Project Syndicate.

Completely ignoring the reported 183,000 tons of aid that Israel let into Gaza since May 2025, Nowrojee propped up a straw man and let loose: “By intentionally withholding food and other basic essentials despite glaring evidence of widespread hunger and malnourishment in Gaza, Israel has taken its war well into the realm of criminality.” This kind of asinine slander plastered onto the Soros-backed Project Syndicate should concern every American who cherishes the shared heritage with the people of Israel.

Vazquez played whataboutism in response, then quoted a Trump administration ambassador playing more whataboutism:

Nowhere did Nowrojee concede that Hamas has widely used its own people as human shields, has largely stolen from aid that was sent into Gaza, and has shot civilians who have attempted to flee Gaza.”

[…]

But United States Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee stated in a fierce rebuttal on X to attempts by international NGOs to accuse Israel of initiating some kind of Gazan Holodomor, “You know who IS starving?  The hostages kidnapped and tortured by uncivilized Hamas savages.” He continued: “Maybe the over fed terrorists could share some of their warehouse full they stole with hungry people, especially the hostages.”

Vazquez didn’t actually counter Nowrojee’s claims.

Meanwhile, an anonymously written Aug. 8 post touted an anti-Soros tome by another dubious Soros-hater:

Bongino Report Content Manager Matt Palumbo is out with a new book detailing the radicalism of George Soros’s crown prince Alex, and gave a big shoutout to MRC in the process.

Palumbo told host Steve Bannon during the August 5 edition of Real America’s Voice’s War Room that his book The Heir — slated to be released October 2025 — took between 500-600 hours to draft due to there being little material on Alex Soros to begin with and necessitating great amounts of original research, making his exposé groundbreaking.

His overarching conclusion? It’s not that the apple “didn’t fall far from the tree, I don’t know if it really fell at all. [Alex] is to a large extent a more youthful clone of his father.” The best case scenario for the American people, said Palumbo, was that the elder Soros’s notorious Open Society Foundations would run on autopilot following its founder’s death. But with his “more political” activist son Alex taking the helm, “obviously that’s not going to happen.”

It was not mentioned that Palumbo is best known for working as a paid propagandist for corrupt Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, writing articles in support of him that were then given paid placement on right-wing websites such as Newsmax.
