MRC Still Freaking Out Over Trump-Epstein Link

Posted on February 23, 2026

The Media Research Center continued to complain about the fact that people can’t stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump’s apparent links to him:

  • Politico Frames Possible Ukraine War Peace Deal as Distraction from Epstein Files
  • Defamation Suit Inbound? Behar: ‘Obvious’ Trump Is Epstein’s Pedophile Partner
  • Politico Senior Writer Now Admits Epstein Files Release Unlikely to Harm Trump
  • MS NOW Guest Insinuates Trump’s a Pedo, Might Start War to Distract From It
  • Politico Finally Publishes Trump-Free Epstein Story

Intern Isaac White lashed out at an MS NOW host for allegedly suggesting that an Epstein victim visited Trump:

Objection, your honor: leading the witness. Jeffrey Epstein victim Sharlene Rochard gave her debut interview to MS NOW’s Jen Psaki, which was aired Tuesday night’s The Briefing. While Psaki tried to get her to link President Trump to Epstein’s sex trafficking exploits, Rochard was made uncomfortable by the clearly politically motived effort and repeatedly sought comfort in the counsel of fellow victim Virginia Giuffre’s relatives who were on set with her.

The interview started off simple enough. Psaki asked innocuous questions about how Rochard got looped into Epstein’s world and where she traveled as a model. Then Psaki quickly brought up Trump’s famous resort and suggested Epstein had sent her there to be with Trump:

[…]

Rochard didn’t claim she was sent there by Epstein. And as if Psaki didn’t hear her correctly, and seemingly ignoring the part about magazines renting out the resort for events, she tried to get Rochard to say so:

[…]

When it became obvious Psaki she wasn’t going to get the smoking gun she wanted, she opened the floor to Rochard to share whatever she wanted. Rochard simply put the spotlight back on Epstein alone: “Terrible things had happened to me within my time with dealing with Jeffrey Epstein. I had encounters with people that I would rather not have.”

The MRC’s nepo-baby leader weighed in as well:

David Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, is warning liberals to be careful what they wish for when it comes to the release of the Epstein files. Last Friday on WMAL, Bozell told afternoon drive host Derek Hunter that despite the elitist media’s obsession with the fake news narrative that the files implicate President Donald Trump, the files could be bad news for liberals.

Bozell also noted the media have given House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries a pass on his Epstein scandal.

Bozell complained that the scandal is hurting Trump and right-wing messaging: “The networks unleashed on the American public over 800 minutes on Epstein since July on the broadcast networks in an effort to get Trump. He’s down in the polls, largely because of this. We’ve got to fight even harder to get our message out that this has nothing to do with him, and hopefully the releases will prove that.” This is pre-emptive damage control, not journalism.
