WND Hypes Alternative Super Bowl Halftime Show

Posted on April 20, 2026

Like the Media Research Center, WorldNetDaily freaked out about the Super Bowl. But first, like Newsmax, it cheered the life decisions of one of the quarterbacks. Ron Strom wrote in a Feb. 3 article:

As today’s pro-life movement advocates not only against abortion but for marriage and procreation, a young NFL star getting ready to take the field in Super Bowl LX Sunday is sharing his own enthusiasm for the institution of matrimony, especially embracing it at a young age.

Drake Maye, quarterback of the New England Patriots, set to meet the Seattle Seahawks in the big game in a few days, married his childhood sweetheart, Ann Michael, last June at age 22. Fox News reports Maye talked on Monday about how he would advise all of his teammates to get married at some point in their lives.

[…]

The report points out that Drake and Ann Michael Maye dated since 2015, in seventh grade, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Maye has become a favorite of the Pats’ fan base, partly based on her skills in the kitchen, specifically baking, as she typically provides treats for her husband on game day.

Many societal observers have noted the demographic and cultural harm done by a consistently falling marriage and fertility rate. Columnist Don Feder pointed out last weekend that in 2024, for the first time in U.S. history, a majority of women ages 18 to 44 weren’t married, twice the number of the early 1980s.

Bob Unruh hyped the alternative right-wing halftime show in a Feb. 6 article:

Sometimes over the years, the worst game of the entire National Football League season has been the Super Bowl.

Then when league officials decide that you want to be force-fed political ideologies and offensive social commentary during the halftime “entertainment,” well it hardly could get any better.

So this year an alternative to the NFL’s push of Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny during its halftime is available.

It’s called the American Halftime Show and it’s being presented by Turning Point USA.

Specifically, it celebrates faith, family and freedom.

Featured will be Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett and more.

Unruh didn’t mention how Kid Rock lyrics creepily focused on underage girls are related to “faith, family and freedom.”

Joe Kovacs related President Trump’s response to Bad Bunny in a Feb. 8 article:

President Donald Trump torched the all-Spanish halftime show of Super Bowl LX on Sunday, blasting the performance by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny as a “slap in the face” to America.

“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” Trump exclaimed on Truth Social.

“It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.

“This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day – including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!

Kovacs did not allow anyone to respond to Trump. Rather, he exclaimed:

Instead of Bad Bunny on NBC, millions watched the Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show festering Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.

The final song by Kid Rock, who used his real name of Robert Ritchie, made a plea for people to read the Bible and get rescued by Jesus, as he sang: “There’s a book sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off, there’s a man who died for all our sins hanging from a cross, you can give your life to Jesus and He’ll give you a second chance, until you can’t.”

Kovacs didn’t explain how this compofts with Kid Rock’s underage-girls lyrics.
