WorldNetDaily’s lawfare war against judge James Boasberg continued in a Jan. 23 article by Bob Unruh:
House Speaker Mike Johnson recently has endorsed the idea of Congress impeaching and removing biased federal judges, and the endorsement has provided new impetus among House members to pursue that course of action.
Rep. Brandon Gill’s resolution against Judge James Boasberg immediately gained new additional supporters.
“We’re going to do everything we can to push that forward. I mean the reality is that Boasberg has been acting as an agent of the Democrat Party for quite some time now,” Gill said. “I’m thrilled to see the speaker get on board. I think his leadership will be crucial in getting this passed.”
[…]Boasberg, for example, was an integral part of the Democrats’ anti-Trump agenda during his first term, and since then had issued extreme rulings on immigration cases involving the Trump administration, once ordering jets carrying deported illegal aliens to turn around mid-air and return the criminals to the U.S.
He also signed off on documents that allowed partisan special counsel Jack Smith to seize the telephone records of members of Congress as part of his Democrat lawfare against Trump.
No mention, of course, of WND’s lawfare against Boasberg. On Jan 29, it reprinted a Daily Caller article citing a biased “conservative watchdog” to claim that “An ethics complaint against United States District Court Judge James Boasberg was not properly investigated.”
Unruh quote the rage of a fellow right-winger in a Feb. 9 article:
A rogue federal judge who repeatedly has issued nationwide, even worldwide, orders telling the administration of President Donald Trump how he wants the Executive Branch operations run, now is being told to “pound sand.”
That’s the evaluation from PJMedia about a conflict that has been brewing since Trump’s second term started and James Boasberg, a federal judge in Washington, started issuing orders about administration actions that, literally, have been worldwide.
Boasberg has established a long history of antagonism toward Trump, from his participation in various Democrat lawfare cases in recent years to his more recent attempts to block Trump from enforcing laws to secure the American border and remove from its shores criminal illegal aliens.
[…]Boasberg has been the subject of impeachment discussions as well as the target of an ethics complaint filed by the DOJ, even though another federal judge protected him in that fight.
Unruh returned to whine in a Feb. 12 article:
Federal judges who actively oppose President Donald Trump’s White House agenda already have been the subject of ethics complaints – only to be protected by other federal judges.
They been cited in impeachment petitions, which are unlikely to succeed in the Senate as Democrats there are expected to endorse even the most outlandish courtroom behaviors.
But those actions, such as James Boasberg’s court orders that Trump turn jets around mid-air in order to return criminal illegal aliens to the U.S. or that the president must fetch some 100 of those criminals from jails in other countries, are going on the record.
[…]The numbers are in favor of the rogue judges, as a House vote on impeachment would require literal unanimity, and in the Senate, removing a judge would take 67 votes, which the GOP at this point does not have.
Unruh failed to explain why merely ruling against Trump makes Boasberg or any other judge “rogue.”
The same day, Unruh further whined:
A longtime anti-Trump federal judge who previously ordered the president to turn jets around midair and return illegal alien criminals to the United States and also facilitated Jack Smith’s search into the telephone records of sitting U.S. senators in his failed Arctic Frost investigation, now has told the White House to “facilitate” the return of 100 illegal alien criminals already in jail in other countries.
“The court will now order the government to facilitate the return from third countries of those plaintiffs who so desire,” claimed Judge James Boasberg of Washington.
“It will also permit other plaintiffs to file their habeas supplements from aboard.”
[…]Boasberg now says Trump has to fetch them and give them “due process,” a move that the White House already has confirmed is problematic.
At issue are about 137 Venezuelans who were flown last year to El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center.
El Salvador officials previously have confirmed their jurisdiction over those cases now.
WorldNetDaily previously reported that the White House filed a statement with the court system that if Boasberg tries to demand the return of the Venezuelans, the case will be advanced to a higher court with no delay.
Unruh did not explain why due process is a bad thing. Instead he whined further: “Boasberg, who publicly has fretted that the White House will not do exactly as he wants, has been told in a court filing from the Department of Justice that the administration believes there is no further due process due the illegal alien criminals who were deported.”
