The Mamdani Meltdowns Continue At WND

Posted on May 1, 2026

New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani continues to cause meltdowns at WorldNetDaily. Bob Unruh groused in a Feb. 17 article:

Just weeks ago, New York City residents, including large populations of immigrants, elected a Muslim, Zohran Mamdani, the city’s new mayor.

He immediately praised his own religion as the one true faith, and now there are being broadcast into city streets, in multiple locations, the Islamic call to prayer, up to five times a day.

Actor James Woods, who commentary attracts as much attention these days as his other life accomplishments, pointed out, “Well, that didn’t take long…”

Unruh eventually got around to mentioning that “The agenda actually, reports confirmed, began under former Mayor Eric Adams in 2023, who allowed some calls to prayer broadcast. Under Mamdani, that apparently has been expanded, actually “supercharged,” according to some.” Unruh failed to explain how, exactly, Mamdani “supercharged” the policy.

Joe Kovacs wrote in a Feb. 24 article:

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., joined New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in dropping a new video Tuesday – voiced all in Spanish – promoting free day care for all city residents, including illegal aliens.

The video did provide English subtitles, as Mamdani began the announcement by admitting: “My Spanish is … a little rusty.”

“Don’t worry, Mayor,” Ocasio-Cortez replied, as she commenced her pitch.

[…]

“Democrats are taking Americans’ money and spending it on foreign invaders,” noted LibsofTikTok.

Yes, WND and its right-wing fellow travelers are mad that Mamdani made a Spanish-language video to cater to Spanish-speaking city residents. Kovacs gave no evidence that Mamdani specifically targeted “illegal aliens” in his pitch.

The same day, Unruh ranted:

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has made no secret of his pro-Islam agenda points. In the few weeks he’s been in office, Muslim calls to prayer now are being broadcast onto public streets there, and one of his prominent supporters demanded that the city ban dogs inside homes, as Muslims consider dogs unclean.

Now Mamdani has pulled back the curtain of moderation that may have concealed his goals before now: He’s attended a mosque where the imam prayed for the return of the Islamic mahdi so that infidels could be beheaded.

It is the RAIR Foundation that reported on the new exhibition of extremism against Christians and other faiths.

“As the U.S. makes final preparations to hammer the Iranian mullahs out of existence, New York City’s Islamo-communist Mayor Zohran Mamdani made a point of saying Friday prayers at a mosque that the Department of Justice considers to be a front for the Iranian government,” the foundation reported.

But Unruh discredited himself by citing the Muslim-hating RAIR Foundation. As we documented, it was founded by Amy Meklenberg, who’s famous for spewing anti-Muslim hate under the nom de Twitter Amy Mek until she was outed in 2018. Further, the imam only referenced “infidels” and did not target Christians by name.
