Newsmax Mamdani Meltdown Watch

Posted on June 30, 2026

Newsmax’s Mamdani meltdowns continued in an April 17 column by Micael Dorstewitz, who began by ranting that “As Muslims gain in numbers and influence in the United States, they’ve become more reluctant to assimilate — to become Americanized,” before complaining not about New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani but, rather, one of his staffers:

Now let’s turn to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration.

Jewish Insider reported Wednesday that Donald Borenstein, the mayor’s videographer, posted a series of statements to social media that honored the mastermind of the Hamas October 7 terror attack, and claimed he died a hero.

As for the mayor himself, last month Mamdani urged America to turn to Islam and embrace mass migration.

“I consider my own faith, Islam, a religion built upon the narrative of migration,” he said.

Dorstewtz concluded by demanding that Muslims convert to Christianity: “America was founded on Judeo-Christian values — not the rantings of a seventh century madman.”

An April 20 article followed:

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, a member of the House Freedom Caucus known for his strong conservative stance on immigration and cultural issues, has introduced legislation he is calling the “Mamdani Act,” according to Mediaite.

The bill would expand U.S. immigration law to make non-citizens deportable, inadmissible, or subject to denaturalization based on ideological beliefs or affiliations.

Under the proposal, individuals linked to or supportive of socialist, communist, Marxist, or what Roy characterizes as Islamist extremist movements could be barred from entry or removed from the country.

It was not explained how, exactly, Mamdani would presumably be deported under the strcitures of the proposed act, given that he’s the premier target of it.

A May 10 article by Jim Thomas complained that a city employee who criticized Mamdani faced consequences for it:

A New York Police Department captain caught on video disparaging Mayor Zohran Mamdani during a Brooklyn protest has been reassigned to a 911 call center, drawing fire from Republican officials who say City Hall enforces conduct rules selectively.

Capt. James G. Wilson is facing an internal disciplinary processfor allegedly violating a departmental ban on political speech while on duty.

Wilson, 51, was second-in-command at the 94th Precinct in Greenpoint when he was recorded on May 2 during an anti-immigration enforcement protest outside Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Bushwick.

In the widely circulated video, Wilson called Mamdani “an embarrassment and total nonsense,” labeled him expendable and temporary, and disparaged all Democrats as a waste of the human race.

He was transferred on Monday to the Communications Division at a 911 call center in the Bronx, where he will remain while the disciplinary review proceeds.

NYPD policy prohibits officers from publicly expressing personal views about political parties or candidates while on duty.

Council Minority Leader David Carr, R-Staten Island, told the New York Post that city employees have routinely criticized President Donald Trump and Republicans without consequence and said any policy restricting political speech “isn’t enforced fairly or consistently.”

Councilwoman Joann Ariola, R-Queens, told the same outlet that Wilson would be “declared a hero” if he had targeted Trump instead.

Mamdani has sought to distance himself from the move.

“I saw the video. I did not, however, have any involvement in that decision, nor did my City Hall,” he said, adding that the action was taken under NYPD administrative guidelines. The mayor, who took office in January, has been careful in his handling of police matters.

thomas did not explain why Wilson declaring all Democrats as “a waste of the human race” was somehow not beyond the pale for him and his fellow right-wingers.
