The Media Research Center — mainly its resident comedy cop, Alex Christy — continued its war against Jimmy Kimmel in April:

- Kimmel Describes Ceasefire As ‘The TACO Tuesday of All TACO Tuesdays’
- Kimmel Says ‘No One Was Talking About’ Melania-Epstein Rumors He Talked About

Christy complained in an April 15 post:
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel unveiled his proposal on how to end the war with Iran on Tuesday that included sending President Trump to Iran and making him the new ayatollah. According to Kimmel, this would not be far-fetched because Trump and the ayatollah share many of the same views on things like free speech and women’s rights.
[…]This would be at least the fourth time since the start of the year that Kimmel has compared Trump to Iran, and no matter how many times Kimmel repeats it, it will not suddenly become true. If Trump and Iran really had the same view of free speech, Kimmel would be rotting away in a dungeon somewhere or possibly dead, and his wife would not be able to use Jimmy Kimmel Live! as a platform for her abortion activism.
Chrtisty didn’t explain why Kimmel’s wife must be muzzled on the subject of abortion.
Christy spent an April 23 post being bitter that Kimmel won an award:
Back in September, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel got himself suspended for remarks he made about the political identity of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, but on Thursday, he was able to turn that into a Peabody Award for allegedly becoming a free speech martyr.
To recap, Kimmel declared on September 15 that “we hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
There was no joke. There was no satire. Kimmel made a good, old-fashioned declarative statement about Kirk’s alleged assassin who, even at the time, was known to be on the left.
Christy didn’t mention the part where Trump FCC commissioner Brendan Carr effectively threatened ABC into suspending Kimmel on fear of losing broadcast licenses, asserting that “we can do this the easy way or the hard way.”
