Newsmax Cranks Out Even More Articles On A Single Trump Interview -ConWebBlog

We’ve shown how Newsmax loves to crank out multiple articles about a single speech or campaign rally by Donald Trump, despite the newsworthiness of the event not warranting such attention. That applies even more when Trump gives an interview to Newsmax. A Feb. 5 article by the apparently unironically named Charlie McCarthy hyped an interview Trump did that day with Newsmax TV host Rob Schmitt:

Former President Donald Trump told Newsmax in an exclusive interview Monday that lawmakers would be “foolish” to sign the Senate’s border security bill.

Trump, during a conversation with Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt, was asked how some Senate Republicans could be “itching to sign off” on the $118 billion bill unveiled Sunday.

“Well, it’s hard to believe because I think it probably would mean the end of their career,” Trump told Schmitt. “This is a Democrat trap. It’s a trap for Republicans that would be so stupid, so foolish to sign a bill like this. This bill can’t be signed.

But that was far from the only article Newsmax lavished on the interview:

That’s right — Newsmax generated a total of 10 articles from a single interview – all of which were stenograpahy with no effort made to correct anything Trump said. These articles were written by Michael Katz, Brian Freeman, Fran Beyer and Theodore Bunker in addition to McCarthy — meaning that Newsmax made five writers crank out what are effectively Trump campaign press releases.

Meanwhile, Newsmax cranked out even more articles about a single Trump speech, this time a Feb. 17 rally in Michigan:

Each of these articles made sure to note that the speech “aired live and in its entirety on Newsmax and the Newsmax2 streaming platform.”
