WorldNetDaily didn’t take the election of Zohran Mamdani as New York City mayor, following up on its pre-election meltdown. First up was a Nov. 4 article by Joe Kovacs, who admitted that Mamdani won fair and square while still hitting his right-wing talking points: under the headline “say it ain’t Zo!”:
Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist who stormed onto the national political scene in recent months, was elected mayor of New York City Tuesday night, defeating Independent Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.
He will become the Big Apple’s first-ever Muslim mayor, as well as its youngest city chief in more than a century.
He collected more than 50% of the vote, compared to 41.2% for former Gov. Cuomo and 7.1% for Sliwa, the founder of the Guardian Angels.
President Donald Trump reacted to the wins by Mamdani and others, saying on Truth Social: “‘TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT,’ according to Pollsters.”
“They actually did it. They elected a communist,” said journalist Benny Johnson. “New York is screwed.”
The next day, an anonymously written article had a Soros-related meltdown:
Alex Soros, heir to his father George’s empire and fortune, cheered the Tuesday election of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, posting a photo of himself and the young socialist.
As a billionaire living in the Big Apple, Soros is one of the residents who will be targeted by Mamdani’s plan to raise taxes on the city’s “top 1%.”
As reported by Fox News, Soros posted: “The American dream continues! So proud to be a New Yorker! Congrats, Mayor Zohran Mamdani.”
George Soros’ Open Society Foundations have helped fund left-wing campaigns stretching from district attorneys to federal elections. In 2022, Alex Soros succeeded his father as chairman of the board of directors of the $25 billion nonprofit.
Bob Unruh piled on as well:
Muslim “democrat socialist” Zohran Mamdani, the mayor-elect in New York City, took not even hours to reveal his “venom,” according to an analysis of Tuesday’s election of the radical candidate.
And social media was hot with claims that he’s now going to try to put New Yorkers under the governance of Islamic Shariah law.
Nowhere in the article is Mamdani actually quoted as saying he supports Shariah law.
Elizabeth Farah’s nov. 7 podcast quoted someone claiming the same thing:
New York has fallen.
Trevor Loudon, anti-communist researcher and author, joins Elizabeth Farah to expose how a Marxist-Islamist alliance just captured the most powerful city in America. Together, they reveal how immigrant radicalization, global communism, and Islamic networks converged to install a foreign revolutionary as mayor of New York.
Loudon traces the deep ties between CAIR, the Democratic Socialists of America, and communist regimes in Cuba, China, and Iran. He shows how these forces used immigration policy and ideological infiltration to breach America’s defenses from within.
Elizabeth Farah drives the conversation to its core, warning that this is the spiritual and political beachhead of a new world revolution, one now rooted in American soil. What began as an election has become a declaration of war against the Republic.
This is America under occupation.
And the fight for her soul has begun.
Again, neither Farah or Loudon — who Farah failed to disclose is a foreigner — offered any instance in which Mamdani explicitly endorsed Shariah law.
