WND’s Unruh Still Obsessing Over Transgender People

Posted on June 5, 2026

WorldNetDaily writer Bob Unruh’s hatred for transgender people continued to overshadow any journralistic instincts he might claim to have as the new year began, writing in a Feb. 2 article:

A stunning precedent has been set for those medical malpractice cases that are erupting against doctors who did transgender surgery on minors, sometimes removing healthy breasts or other healthy body parts in their pursuit of an ideology that defies science.

A $2 million jury award.

Constitiutional expert Jonathan Turley, whose advice on those issues many times has guided Congress, said it is thought to be the “first successful lawsuit against doctors accused of malpractice over a gender transitioning surgery.”

He noted a New York jury “awarded $2 million to Fox Varian, 22, over the double mastectomy performed on her while she was a minor.”

It is psychologist Kenneth Einhorn and surgeon Simon Chin who were held responsible by the jury in Westchester County Supreme Court in White Plains for failing to follow standards of care followed by reasonable doctors.

As we noted when the Media Research Center obsessed over this case, the judgment reflects questions of informed consent, not of gender-affirming surgery itself.

Unruh editorialized in a Feb. 4 article:

Almost every major medical organization in recent years has promoted the transgender ideology.

Many physicians actively participate in the industry through surgeries and other treatment for which they are paid, so their neutrality might not be convincing.

But now one doctors’ group says those surgeries should wait.

Until at the patient is at least 19 years old.

Unruh didn’t explain how being transgender is an “ideology.”

The next day, Unruh huffed:

One of Joe Biden’s favorite beliefs was transgenderism. He promoted it for all age groups in America, and even pushed for funding for overseas interests to promote the ideology.

For example, non-governmental organizations long have operated as activists for the science-defying beliefs that men can become women, or vice versa.

A report at the Federalist explains NGOs have lobbied for the agenda “under the guise of global humanitarian assistance.”

Again, Unruh refused to explain how being transgender is an “ideology,” and he once again denied that Biden was, in fact, the president.

An anonymously written Feb. 20 article that sounds a lot like it was written by Unruh claimed:

A plastic surgeon who trained at a New York hospital famous for its pro-transgender programs has apologized for not speaking up against the ideology, and the undue influences present there.

Those include, he said, financial incentives for medical centers to provide the injurious treatments to children.

And the psychological torture inflicted on parents who are told by so-called experts that their children will commit suicide if they are not afforded the chemical and surgical “treatments” involved.

It is in a report at Fox News the comments from Dr. Ira Savetsky are documented.

“As a father to three young children and as a physician who took an oath to do no harm, I failed to speak up, and I just want to thank President Trump for having more clarity on this,” he said during an interview on the topic.

The anonymous writer did not allow a contrary opinion to appear in this article.

Unruh spent a Feb. 28 article cheering that foster parents are allowed to hate transgender children:

Two families who had been punished by leftist officials in the state of Vermont for declining to violate their Christian faith and promote transgender beliefs have had their licenses to care for foster children restored.

And the state has given up on its agenda to demand foster parents promote that alternative lifestyle.

A report from LifeNews explains it’s because of a change in state policy that resulted during a settlement of a lawsuit.

Lawyer Johannes Widmalm-Delphonse, who represented the families, explained, “This is an incredible victory for children in Vermont’s foster-care system. No parent should be forced to lie to a vulnerable child about who they are, much less promote irreversible and life-altering procedures that don’t have any proven health benefits. And, unfortunately, other loving families have been unable to open their homes to children in need just because of their Christian worldview. We commend Vermont for respecting the religious diversity of foster parents and ending its exclusionary policy that deprived children of opportunities to find loving homes.”

Unruh did not explain why it’s a good thing for parents to hate transgender people, let alone demonstrate why such hatred is a “Christian worldview.”
